OK due to popular request, the next game I am going to run has a distinct theme which I think many of you will find quite familiar.
http://www.angelfire.com/mo2/kaomaris/group34.html
Players will start in a city, and in re to the rest of the manager options, just check out my House Rules. Even though I am not technically listing clan on the group page there is of course still the two person/clan max rule as is standard with any WOK 5 game. This one is not an X-Game, just a regular one with a theme. Enjoy!

Hmmm Dragon Reborn, that's kinda catchy.
The pop file is linked on the page- just click on the group # at the top. The INI file- if you need it for some reason I can send it to you directly, otherwise it should be up at Map Central when Al gets around to it.

I would, I would, I really really would. But I promised myself I'd cut down so I could go on holiday (spot the addict) anyway, I believe two scholars beat me to it anyway so I'll have to sit and watch. Still that way a scholar winning is more likely and a scholar losing isn't my fault!

Still one spot left in this one folks. Scholars and CoN are both filled but I believe all other clans have at least one spot open.

Has anyone looked at the POP file for this map? Nick, this POP file could not have come from you. Look at all those people!!!
After the last couple of games with "Maps by Nick" I have learned to take care of the limited POP he provides. Every province in this game starts with at least 100 POP.

I was very happy to see all the POP. This is my first WOK 5 game so this will be helpful.
Thank you, Nick

Yes well I wanted to be generous for a change. But you might also consider this a double-edged sword- yep it sure is a lot of people, but you are going to have to find a way to FEED 'em all- cuz there defientely isn't more corn than normal.

More POP=> more MAG => quicker TECH development => achieving better WOK efficiency earlier => you don't need too much WOK set on harvesting early on thus the cron consumption is bearable
Am I right on this WOK 5 logic?

Except that magicians past three don't help with tech advances, magicians eat a lot of corn themselves when your tech level gets high and if you cut too much corn there's not enough left for the growth to help with next turn's feeding!
Gotta love WoK 5

So... you mean that you don't lose your magician when you advance in TECH?
It's true that none of the units that origin from POP are lost because you use them (ok armies. but they get killed and not die because you issue an attack order

) but because of the fact that it's not clearly indicated in the manual, I was under the impression that '1 MAG per TECH level' is a part of the cost of the advance.

Nope, you keep the wizardy guy. It's just that you can't advance more tech levels in a turn than the number of magicians you have (and never more than 3).
