I hate that I am like the only GM that actually ENJOYS running WOK 5 games. I mean, they fill as quickly as WOK 4 games, and yet for some reason there are twice as many WOK 4 games as WOK 5 games open. Not that I object to Taker's personal status quo or anything there, but I would like to ask GMs to just consider the number of games of each type running before they choose what they are going to do next. Frankly, if I wasn't running WOK 5 games right now the engine almost might as well not exist.

As soon as the Champs are over, I will open a WOK5 waitlist if no one else has by then. I do enjoy running WOK5 games more --- they are far easier to run.

Why do you think Nick "enjoys" running them...?
That should get a rise.

3 spots left, plus two spots that four members of D.O.W. applied for.
And Nick, I do prefer running WOK 5 to 4, but a clanmate asked for WOK 4.

Kinda reminds of back in the day when we'd get together and...ah, nevermind.

Don't be silly TK, it's because I can secretly manipulate the engine much easier in WOK 5 so the player that I wants to win, wins. I mean, duh. I thought
everybody knew that!

Thanks to all the "QUITS" (I keep track of these), this game is only worth 1 VP.

In WOK5 a player has an incentive to be the lucky guy to take the last province from an opponent. You receive all of the 'stuff' they have. Gold, bank account, gems, spells, etc. In WOK4, all you get, to borrow a phrase from a great multiplayer game called "Age of Renaissance", is the Misery Burden associated with the EFF drain the extra provinces entail. There is often nothing left in these empty provinces.
Many players (I am not one of them) will just quit the game, rather than tell the GM that they will not be submitting any more orders. This puts the onus on the surviving players to eliminate them before they miss three consecutive turns and are considered as quit. Five quit players will result in the game being worth only 1VP.
I don't have a problem with this. There should be some incentive to encourage the leaders in a game to eliminate the weaker positions. In WOK5 there is a reward for doing so. In WOK4 there is a punishment for not doing so. Deal with it.
