Last week at one of the Arab summit meetings that was broadcast live, the Iraqi ambassador called the Kuwaitis "traitors to the Arab world" for inviting the United States into their territory. Humph! The Kuwaitis were enraged, I was incredulous. Of all of the things for the Iraqi ambassador to say, I never thought I would hear such hypocisy, considering that the Iraqis were not invited into Kuwait, but they came in anyway, burned, pillaged, and looted, blew up the oil wells, and then left in a big hurry.
Ummmm actually the Iraqis have a point...
The original Gulf War was started by Kuwait slant drilling into Iraqs oil fields. Iraq asked for US permission to invade the offending area and got it... It was only after they decided to invade the WHOLE country that the US got upset. The US State dept. admitted this about a year or so ago...
The Saudis are actually responsible for nuturing one of the most radical forms of Islam (Wahhabism) and now they are worried that the fanatics they have sponsored will turn on them...
It's no coincidence that the 9/11 Hijackers were Saudis not Iraqis...
