History of the U.S.
I knew this topic would get your attention!
The thing is, I am studying for an exam (on history of the US) and I've encountered a question that I find more difficult to answer by looking the answer up than posting it here for you to help me
Here goes:
What was the name of the system which was called the magnificent superstructure of American commerce and British naval power on an African foundation?
The italicized part is a quote (a bit inacurate according to what I found on the net)
Any ideas?

British Trade was a system used to exchange goods with other areas of the world for peace and prosperity.....
Unfortunately, they ran out of marijuana and the US said screw you, we'll grow our own.
Now we get it from British Columbia, hence the term, "BC Bud"

Triangular trade was the system where European countries, mainly England, shipped goods as cloth, iron and guns to African in exchange for slaves. The slaves were then brought to America where they were exchanged for cotton, tobacco and sugar that was then brought back to Europe. And round, and round it goes.
I'm not sure if that has anything to do with what you're working on.
