Clan Champs

Well, it looks like this Clan Champs game will be TFF and the Scholars. Kudos to the Scholars for overtaking VO at the last minute, but considering they were playing in about 2-3 times as many games this summer as VO that was not entirely unexpected.

Anyway, since I won't be playing in that game now, I am volunteering to GM it now that my summer vacation is over. The timing works out, so I figure I might as well. I have sent out an email to both clan heads going over specifics, but I just wanted to let the community as a whole know that the game will be starting and running efficiently, and it is my full intention that it will be over before the end of the year.

But doesn't VO have 7 more days to get 1 VP to pass the Scholars? Or are you guys not in any games at the moment?

I really did mean it when I said VO wasn't playing much over the summer. Our only truly active players over the summer were Gaz and Duke, and their games have wrapped up. Bjorn, Strider, myself, and Raven are all looking to join games now that the summer is passed though so VO will be back in the thick of things soon enough.

I was going to wait until Aug. 31 to call it but you're right Nick... it is over. If you're going to pick up the clan champs then I will open up another game. I was waiting to make sure that there was a GM available when the time came. This could be an interesting Clan Champs...

TFF is no BoV so the Scholars may stand a chance this time around.

WoK SPECIES......LMAO

Most likely WoK 5 so start lookin for a good one you can hide and sleep in, that is if you get a chance.

Any day now guys! Sheesh! The Scholars got back to me in like 48 hours and they had to choose a couple maps out of like 50 choices. I give TFF two choices and I'm STILL waiting. Honestly, we're not getting any younger here! Let's at least TRY to make the decision in before a full week passes, OK?

Also, I don't want to open my next waitlist (think X-Game) until I get this game underway, so the sooner the better!

TK's gonna be gone for quite some time. I wouldn't recommend waiting for him. I'm don't remeber exactly how long he said he was gonna be gone but I'm thinking he said 2 months.

TFF doesn't back down from anyone, so I will play a 5 on 1 game first before I'd give in.

I know we have 3 for sure and 4 if TK get's his butt home soon,, now if Calidus and Nemesis would stop by and visit us, we will have our full team.

If I remember right you can ask other players to join you in a clan war. I'm not sure how it works for the clan champs though...

It was always my understanding that the purpose of a clan champs game is to see how well you can coordinate a war with your clanmates. So, allowing 1 player to play 2 or more positions would not be in the spirit of such a game. Also, I don't think that non-members should be allowed to play, for the same reason --- it's showing the community how well your clan can work as a team.

My guess is that TK won't be able to play until he returns to school, which I believe is October --- we are also playing with a handicap --- without Korexus, for the same reason.

Although I would not want to win by forfeit, I see no other alternative if you guys can't field a team.
