You wouldnt believe it....

Post by gm_al » Tue Nov 11, 2003 6:33 pm

Here is a mail I got today:

Dear sir/madam,

The Dutch computer magazine PC-Active, which is monthly accompanied
by a cover cd-rom would like your permission to include a copy of
WOK StoneWars 1.19 on the cd.

The software will have a separate screen on the cd-rom, including a short
introduction/description, screenshots and information about the author.

Furthermore, the cd-rom contains a range of (editorial) items like
interactive learning guides, shareware specials and software demos.

The circulation of PC-Active is about 60000.

Looking forward to your response,

Regards,

Arnout Terpstra
Author PC-Active

:P

So is anyone living in the Netherlands and can do some scans and/or send me the CD ??

Check this out: http://www.globalstarsoftware.com/products/GLS00226/ ... notice in the list of games on the CD -- Castle Danger is there.

Betweek Castle Danger & K&M Chess, I must've gotten 3 or 4 of these e-mails ... and still haven't gotten any complimentary magazine/CD copies as I was promised by a couple of them. :( ;)

Well ... the Pub's doors are still open, as always. And, after I take care of the first 3 things on my gaming to-do list, then I will get back to updating that system. ;)

How's that CCG coming by the way Al? What's that, it never made it? I am just shocked. let me tell you. Oh well, at least you learned from your mistakes and actually listened to people when it came to developing WOK 6, I did enjoy my time on that development team and may jump back on again for some consulting in my month off that's coming up. I wonder how it's looking- I'm going to have some time to do some good work on it and hopefully give it a kick, as it doesn't seem to have moved too far compared to how much work we did in the first month from recent updates (or lack thereof). I especially want to take some time to create the actual warriors-I left after having done maybe 10-12 for the human tribe (although GH was working on getting some specific numbers down IIRC) and in three months that number doesn't seem much higher. :(

Mais oui. Thought it was at best an uninventive freeware game.
Question everything.
