Gaz;
I have been waiting for the Thuggee newbie to join this group, but it looks like he may be waiting for a beginner game. If you don't have a tenth player by the end of the weekend put me in so we can start.
Now, who wants to help fill in Egbert's Island of Amazement?
Bjorn

This is getting to be a habit.
Deadline for turn 5 was 2 hours ago.
Out of 8 players left in the game I have orders from only 3 (Allister Fiend, Trewqh & Massielita).
I will wait another 24 - 48 hours and will run the turn on the weekend.
If you have sent your orders and you are not listed above please resend them to me.

I think that since this group is being run once every week then we shouldn't allow extensions just because someone didn't send in his orders.
Asking for an extension is something different but come on, how hard is it to do orders once a week or at least inform your GM that you can't.
Gaz, I think you shouldn't allow this anymore and run the game on time.

I agree, this is getting to be a bunch of BS.
There is a reason that a deadline is given and that is so the GM can run the turn on the day he says it's due.
It is not fair to everyone else in this game and also other games.
For instance, in Toby's group 1, I missed the deadline by 2 hours and he ran it without me. This game, Gaz' 3, was due several hours ago and now it won't be run until the weekend?
I say too bad so sad, run the turn without the others. If you keep extending the deadlines it makes it sound like it is OK and it will never stop.
Otherswise why make a deadline?
Why not just say " As soon as I get everyones orders then I will run the turn" ?
Like Trewqh said, we always have a week to get the orders in so please run the next turn on time.
Thanks
Allister

I would like to encourage GMs to use the term 'HARD DEADLINE' - this means that no delay will be granted for whatever personal reasons.
This may sound a bit harsh at first (after all every Player tends to miss a Turn from time to time due to unexpected events) but helps keep up the overall lacking discipline to send in orders on time.
I for my part have decided to apply a hard deadline for all my upcoming games that I run as GM. Players may suggest to push back the deadline for the NEXT Turn (in advance), but once a deadline is set Ill stick to it. If by any chance Im not able to run the turn on time, Players will only get so much time as I need to actually get to do the job.

Ok. Ok. I hear you.
TK has a valid gripe (sorry man) and I am checking on Polymorphics missing turn.
I will run the turn with those orders I have only (including Polymorphics).
This will happen over the weekend still as it is way past my bedtime and I still have to go to work in 5 hours time.
Sorry for messing you all about.
I will send another message out over the weekend and all future deadlines will be adhered to unless an extension is requested well in advance or I am unable to run the turn for some RL reasons.
