Two things. First, it was indeed my Padacio map that had provinces named after WoT characters and places. There's several more out there based off of other series of books or games I have played, too. Wheel of Time was at one time my favorite series, until Jordan got too carried away with the plot and made things too complicated so he could sell more books. I didn't even bother reading the latest book, although I may when it comes out in paperback.
Second, "Ar-Sereg" is in no way based off of "Aes Sedai", although I could see why one might think so. Ar-Sereg is actually a fusion of terms from Tolkein's Quenya (high elven) tongue. "Ar" was a prefix used to indicate nobility or high birth, and "sereg" meant blood. (No, I don't speak Quenya, I looked it up online of course!) So, Ar-Sereg mean "those of noble blood" or something along those lines.
And regarding coming up with a Wheel of Time map, it's not a bad idea at all. But, I am going to wait until two things happen before I open another game. First, I want at least one of my current games to finish. Second, I want to join as a player at least one more WOK 5 game. Once both of those happen I am going to look to creating another WOK 5 game. I'm likely going to cut back to just normal WOK 5 games at least for the summer, since I'm fairly busy. In any case my current favorite in terms of authors is George R.R. Martin and his "Song of Fire and Ice" series, which is simply excellent. However I imagine that many more people have read Jordan than Martin, so I may go with that world instead. Either those, or perhaps Eddings or McCaffrey....I dunno, maybe I'll start a series of fantasy book-themed maps.
