Sum up WoK in a word (list)

Post by korexus » Tue Oct 16, 2007 8:59 am

A couple of days back, Rune pointed out that our content tag is still set to the default for phpNuke - ie it has nothing to do with Kaomaris. Search engines use this tag to help them return meaningful results, so it would make sense for us to populate it with words that describe the site.

So the object of this thread is: every member can post one word and that word will (probably) be put in our content tag. Try to think of things which people would search for when the would want to find kaomaris (but don't know about it yet).

Just assume that I'm bright enough to do variations on capitalisation and plurality. :P

Yes and no, depends on the search engine. It's certainly worth putting in plurals if they're not simple 'add an s' and hyphenating words can be useful too.

If you're curious, go to google and compare results for searches on simple variations on words. Now try with other search engines.

That should keep Han busy for a while... Any other words, anyone?

Several wasted days later: No luck. But I did find a herring of a strangely reddish hue; will that do?

Well, that will give your armies a bonus of up to 0.5 or 1.0 in water provinces. :P

Something from Walden Pond perhaps? Too lasy to get it down from the attic to check for myself.

Clans

Don't include

Tank
Knight
Plain

My worry would be why they are so open...

Duke: You searched google for a red herring? Priceless! :D

Bryk: Yeah, we should work water provinces into a game at some point...

Hryll: "Tank"??! What are you playing some strange-not-yet-written version of WoK? If you've got tanks in Trinity you may have a chance against Duke...

A red herring is a piece of information that looks useful, but isn't. Usually a few of them pop up in detective shows and the like, to keep you guessing as to whodunnit.
