I won't take this the wrong way and get offended, although I was close to it.

It was a good weekend, we rode out to our training site in Blackhawk helicopters, conducted some convoy operations, ran through a mock Iraqi village, and did a few other things. The convoy ops and mock village were very intense, nothing like getting ambushed with small arms fire and a 50-cal MG from 3 sides while IED's go off on your lead and trail vehicles, or having 20 'Iraqi villagers' screaming at you while one of them tries to sneak up on your squad with a suicide vest.

Oh hey... the game started the day I hoped it wouldn't. Maybe I should leave more often?

That sounds very intense, T-bert. It could even be fun, if it wasn't all training for things that are happening for real somewhere else. It's odd how war games are so much more fun than the real thing. :(

Tinker is right, but now we're all jelous anyway. :)

And forgive my pressing to haste the diplomacy in that one, I forgot you were away.

Why should you? You know better then that. You are doing what you are doing so that Lardmaster has the right to have his opinion and speak it out loud.

I had some training ops dealing with civilian unrest. I have to tell you that it is a lot harder when the enemy is wearing jeans and t-shirts.

Anyway, about the game. I have to say that Nemesis is in a nice position.
 Nothing beats going solo in a game and starting with your back against the ropes. Singles out the good players from players like....myself.

Oh, and try not to get cranky this time Trewqh. Last time I saw you play this map me and Raw bullied you right out of WOK as I recall it. Water under the bridge now, right? 8)

Edit: Just noticed that he isnt alone. Nesty is there. Well, it is almost the same

@Tbert. I certainly wasn't trying to cause offence, (I would have posted something much more personal if that was the case :D ). I genuinely don't understand.

@Duke. You really believe that Tbert is protecting my freedom of speech? That really does surprise me.
Question everything.

No, I am talking about the necessity of a military force at all and since Tbert is part of one then he is by definition protecting the civil rights of US and their allies.

I have to add though that despite the fact that Tbert probably is in it for all the good reasons I dont really agree with all the actions the US are taking.

This is getting out of hand and becoming all political. I quit now but if anyone feels like continuing this soon-to-be-flamer discussion I think we need to start a thread in the Chit-Chat section.
