TV-Shows

Post by Duke » Fri Aug 10, 2007 4:15 pm

*raises his hand*

Hi, my name is Duke and I am a TV-addict.

I was just curios if we tend to watch the same type of shows. I am overdoing it so I watch like all shows but there might be a type of show that attract WOK-players more, or whatever. I didnt say this was hilarious but I had some time to kill 8)

I currently watch (or wait for the next season to start) these shows:

* Lost
* Prison Break
* Heroes (Gotta love Hiro)
* Jericho
* Kyle XY

and there is a bunch where I watch an episode every now and then but dont really follow. I actually still watch Miami Vice....

I am watching Heroes at the moment and Hiro is indeed awesome. 8) We are only at episode 4 so far. (The whole series has already run on Satelite though, I believe)

The Simpsons is the best. (Old Episodes)

I watch TV, predominately, either for sport or to laugh. So like quite a few comedies like Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond. A current show I enjoy is My Name is Earl. Haven't mentioned any British shows since most of the board will not have heard of them.

TV sucks. I would rather read. The acting in my head is much better than on TV :D
Question everything.

After hating all TV for most of my life, I've recently come around and started to watch a few. In order of favorites, they are...

1. Battlestar Galactica
2. Hell's Kitchen
3. The Colbert Report
4. So You Think You Can Dance
5. Smallville (mostly watched over my wife's shoulder while I game)

I liked the Fast Show and Blackadder much more than Monty Python.

Also I can't wait till the next season of Lost.

Apart from that it's the news channel when I'm in the kitchen for me.

My wifey was all anti-pirating until I showed her how a simple torrent can provide her with every single episode of Smallville... ever. She's changed her mind.

I have an 18-month old daughter, so I don't get to squeeze much time in for anything. It's all 30 minutes of free time here and 15 minutes there for me, and thus I'm terribly out of touch with most TV. I like it, I just don't get to watch it.

I watch ESPN and baseball, and I used to watch Star Trek whenever there were new episodes. But they ended Star Trek :x so my wife and I rent movies instead. I printed out a list from the IMDB and Time Magazine of the best 100 movies ever, and we are watching the ones we have not seen.

Well Duke, it looks like every WOK player likes something different, so there goes your theory. Mind if I hijack your thread, though? I would love to get a list of each person's top favorite movies ever, so that I could watch the ones I have not seen yet. Here are mine:

Logan's Run (don't laugh)
Groundhog Day
Sixth Sense
Toy Story 2 (a must see for anyone over 40)
The Sting
Bananas
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (original)
Fargo

You sound like a real party animal!! Ancient history. That rocks even more then ordinary history battles.

The following joke has a PG-13 rating
I like it, I just don't get to watch it.
I belive that is Tberts opinion on lesbian sex. *drumroll*

About Egberts movies I will move on to that thread. (He also listed Groundhog Day!! There are two of us!!)
