Dragonette: Sal's computer has nothing to do with this game. If he can read your post, he can start it. It's the Southern Reaches game (which is still run manually on the GM's computer) which is being held up.

Unless Sal used the TDH :?:

Well i'm hoping that Yondallus and Jen will still join so we will have 8 players.

Anyway, i'll start the game tonight either way, though probably after your bed time little dragon. :)

You're having motherboard problems, Saladin? Ugh... my sympathies. Computers (and cars) are wonderful when they're working but they have to be the most annoying and inconvenient things in the world when they aren't. Best of luck with the repairs.

Well the setup wasn't completely like i wanted it, but i couldn't rerun the turn as the manager was bugging a little. Chris has looked at it, but now i can't access the game at all. :) So Chris could you put it back as one of my games, than i can add game commentary. :)

There should be plenty of room for everybody to expand in so no real need for nasty player vs player fighting early on. It would be nice if everybody gave the other players, especially the really new players like Tinker and Celerian a chance to grow and learn the game more easily that way. :)

Remember that the headhunting rule (no attacking or missiling another players starting province) is in effect for the first two rounds. For spying headhunting is set to one round.

Now should any of the new or not so new players have any questions on rules or even strategy feel free to mail me!

I understand that Turn 1 is going to be rerun. When is that scheduled to happen?

When they reprogram it. It is because we started light on players. The none-players home provinces are still live. Perhaps the last four spots should have been offered to less successful vets instead.

I bet I come out worse on the re-run. I always do ... whine, whinge, mutter, grumble ....

I was underwhelmed with STALKER. Loads of subquests and all of them are totally meaningless. The action is quite good though.

I'm holding out a lot of hope for some of the big games in development right now. BioShock looks amazing, and Fallout 3 holds a special place in my heart thanks to my love affair with the earlier games.

As he needs Chris to look at it and he is drowning at home I think we shall just have to be patient Dragonette. And yes I know patience sucks.

I'll mail mullog with the problem as well, maybe he can have a look at it. I'm going to put the game on pause till it is fixed and turn 1 is rerun.

Fixed.

Could I put in a request to all GMs: If you're going to use the option to define players' home provinces, only define as many provinces as there are players. Otherwise, some neutrals will be set as homes, which really confuses the headhunting rules...

HOLD THE PHONES:

You mean Sal set the start provinces :?:

Well, gee, thanks Sal. Being randomly squished down there surrounded by OP is one thing. To discover it was 'engineered' that way... Darn unreasonable. *mutter, grumble*

Its a good job I sorted out my diplomacy well then isn't it :P

Flippin' GM's, give 'em some power and what happens?

This would explain why I ALWAYS end up in corners or OP sandwiches - see Homelands, Fall of the Raj, Beginner Game, South America, Re run of Back to the Roots - Conspiracy! Conspiracy!

*The above is ALMOST all tongue in cheek - figure out which bits aren't for yourself then put your answers on a postcard and mail it to whereever you like cos no one gives a fig  *
