GM Chris's Random X-Game Idea of the Month.

Post by korexus » Mon Jun 04, 2007 5:01 pm

Published games seem to work now, so how about this:

I run a game, possibly on trewqh's new homelands map. (now added to the Lobby, happy birthday WoK!) But publish the game after turn 1. Players (and spectators) then have the ability to see everyone's turn reports, but not their orders. This would serve two purposes.

1) New players would see first hand how to organise an empire from the inside.

2) Experienced players would be in the ultimate strategic challenge. If you know exactly what your opponent has, then you shouldn't be surprised by anything he does. Whoever has the best strategy will win. (Well, after diplomacy and luck have done their bit of course...)

What do you think?

Cool. :) We (Eg and i) played such a game before i think it was Fredo who set it up on the risk map. It was great fun!

Anyway it's a great idea Chris and i'll gladly play in it.

Interesting... any chance that I can recruit invisible armies though. I die fast enough now when people don't know where they are so how much faster if they can see them!

That is scary indeed. But good all the same.

Hi Immortal! Welcome to the World of Kaomaris!

Could you tell us how you found us? And what your first impressions are on the site, the rulebook, etc.? All just so we can make the experience more and more 'newbie' friendly.

We can beat you guys in a 4 plays 5 game if you prefer. It's a good thing you like humiliation, Vortan!

Or how about we take a robot as a 5th player :?:

Maybe we could get a former Scholar like Raw to take the fifth place.

These con artists need to be taught a lesson. :P

You would be handicapped enough with Sal and Dragonette without the not so loyal robotboy prancing around. Anyway, turns would take forever with half the players being in the states. Still if your not in a rush to die I'll ask the Boss.

Turns will take a while anyway. 3-4 days per turn. As there needs to be extensive discussion...and i need to get enough time to get my naps with Calidus and Yondallus in place. :P

You know Sal ... that sounds to have a hint of hostile intent to it. Are you implying you will be coming after me, smashface and Immortal our poor newbee?

I personally await your pleasure my friend.

No, no...my nap with Smashface is a given. I'll leave immortal for Korexus (he doesn't meet many women in the wok programming bunker so this would be a good opportunity for him) and i'll just concentrate on you. :D

Just picturing Lord korexus tied in printer paper with the blade of a CoN assassin pinning it to him. Still if he would let just anyone in ...

I head to The Circle's coucil chamber and shall enquire of my fellows as to the challenge.

TheDragon makes 9. I nominate TBert or Lardmaster to fill the remaining space.
