Hiya. I haven't looked at the game in question, but I see stuff about conceding .....
As the person who inflicted Duels on you all, can I stress a point? That point is that it's OK to concede once you know you're beat; no need to play it out.
Y'see, Duels, both Full and Lite, take a lot of effort each turn. So it takes more effort just to "play it out". In standard 10-player WOK games, you might be tempted to play on to the death, no problem, it shows you stay with it. But in Duels, it can be a painful waste of your time and of your opponent's time, simply because it takes more time and effort to put in Duel orders each turn.
So, I repeat: Everybody should feel free, in Duels, to throw the towel in, concede, start a new game for revenge. There should be no culture of heroically fighting on to the end - because it costs both sides a lot more time than just throwing in orders in a standard 10-player game.
Hey, I'm trying to make Duels fun while they are up for grabs, and not a pain to play out once they're lost. You can always start a new one .... get your revenge.
Cheers,
Han
PS: This is not a comment on THIS game - I haven't looked at it. Just a comment in general for the future of Duels.

Oy! I thought both a players were NAPped until AFTER turn 6 NOT until turn 6. VortanA was set to valiantly fight his way out and be rescued by C. I really will have to read those rules more carefully.
But, all that said well played. It could have been over a lot faster though ie 10am if my life hadn't interfered. Just watch out for NEXT time.

Now WHY did it do THAT!
If at first you don't succeed - give up and have a coffee!

Sorry, it definitely says (twice!) that A&A are napped until START of T6, ie only until start of T6. Yep, it tends to come down to who misread more rules than the other guy (or, when it's me v Kor, who makes fewer order-input mistakes - our Duel was a humdinger of outdoing each other in mistakes!).Vortan wrote:Oy! Now Vortan raises the banner of The Circle Of Nine and cries out Lord korexus, Lord Brykovian, Lord Egbert come forth.
With Lord Saladin and Lady Dragonette already having fallen at my feet in the Duel-Lite I feel it only right and proper that I give you the chance to fight for their honour.
What say you.

Uh-oh, looks like he's getting over-confident. We might have to send Vulkingess Tigress against him ... AGAIN ...
