Game On!
I started the game with 9 players because I'm impatient. Turn Reports should be out. If you haven't received one I probably messed something up (imagine that). Let me know and I'll get it to you.

Any reason why you have the wrong turn up on your group page? Between this and you not knowing how email works, it's getting pretty tricky to send orders for your game...

I also had to fiddle with the map for turn 2. I let it pass though since I like Donut.

Yep, there is a reason... I got this e-mail this morning.
The defiant server hardware failed Friday morning. As a result, the personal website data had to be restored from backup tapes from April 27th to a backup server. Any changes to personal websites made on the 28th of April are lost.
Page will be up in a few seconds.

Luckiest army ever?!?
Code: Select all
** Your Province #18 is under attack from Duke
** The attack is conducted out of Province #19
The Terrain attacked is a FOREST [+Archers,+Dragons,+0.3 DFS]
He uses these 27 troops from Province #19 :
°° 27 Armies
His Basic Level is.... 1.000
His Extra Level is.... 0.000
His Creature Bonus.... 0.000 [Max:0.333]
-----------------------------
His Fight Level is = 1.000
°° The enemy has an Effectiveness Level of 88%
°° His starting Attack Power (PATT) is 8.800
You have these 1 troops for Defense :
°° 1 Armies
Your Basic Level is... 1.400
Your Extra Level is... 0.000
Your Creature Bonus... 0.000 [Max:0.466]
-----------------------------------------
Your Fight Level is = 1.400
The Defenses of the Province are.. 1.300
The Terrain Bonus amounts to...... 0.300
-----------------------------------------
The total Defense Level is = 1.600
°° You have an Effectiveness Level of 97%
°° Your starting Defense Power (PDEF) is 19.788
########## BATTLE BEGIN ########## FIGHT FOR PROVINCE #18 #####
[8.800] [19.788] [1] [4] + DEFENDER WINS + Army lost
...
[8.800] [19.788] [8] [1] - ATTACKER WINS - Army lost
** You have lost the battle - 4 Units invade the Province.
I know I lost the province, but one army taking out 23 attackers has to be some sort of record, surely!
korexus
PS, sorry Duke, you may be already dead but I had no right to be that lucky...

Yes, that was lucky but I should have played this game differently. I refuse to accept the fact that just because these Oxfordian-neverseenagirlexceptontv-couldntkickaballinastraightline-wouldntbenchpressover100pounds-geeks
think they have figured out some sort of tribe-system then they will get cheap VP's on it. I WILL NOT ACCEPT IT I TELL YOU!!!
*runs off screaming while hurting himself as punishment for his mistakes*
*disappeared*
*suddenly comes back bleeding from his eyes yelling profanitys*
*disappeared again*

I don't think there was really anything to do with tribes in this game... although I haven't really been paying too much attention to economies, but 1 thing does strike me about why Xarfei has a very large score lead...
Getting like 10 provinces untouched and being allowed to sleep for 10 turns while everyone else fights seems to be a good start.

Bingo.
I've put about zero thought into tribes this game, they can give an advantage, but Xarfei being left untouched and Massie providing his usual easy RIP is what set us up for this game...

well, this was only my 5th wok5 game ever and I made fewer mistakes than ever before, which allowed me to get those ~200 upgrades at level 4-6 (+ another ~125 unleveled upgrades).
its 3.30 am, I finished my last examination EVER today. I am 21 years old, finished my Masters degree (Biochemistry), and don't know what do do with the rest of my life.
And I am f**king wasted, my hair is coloured in the geramn colours (black-red-blonde (my natural colour)).
I can't type straight for sh*t.
I ve FINISHED MY EXAMS, arrrgh, thanks for the pirate flag btw, TK and Korexus !

Grats to Xarfei for finishing his painful years of study - get ready to rot in an office for the nect 40 years now
Career plans ? How about jumping "into the industry" by helping your buddy Chris to do some WOK work to keep us moving ahead ?
And you can still find us in WoW if you need a summer addiction - you dont dare to go outside with your haircut now anyways, do you ?
PS: TK, when will we see ya in Vienna ? And when will ya answer the interview questions I sent ya ?

*jumps out from behind a bush all sweaty and wound up*
Who? I...man they are right behind me! Those are the hills with the caves, right? I have friendly troops beyond that line of trees...or?
*runs off only to immidiatly return*
Did you hear that? Was that a dragon?
*crawls in underneath a fallen tree*
Go away!
