Latest changes and a look at next beta

Latest news and changes (already in use):

* movement costs for swamp/forest/mountain reduced
* players start with 20 skill points, 25 banked Turns and 700 plants on their square
* the FLEE behaviour option is now enabled right from the start and doesnt require anything anymore (previously required 2 legs for those interested)
* number of Turns you can bank has been increased
* number of nutrition that carnivores gain from other species has been slightly increased
* costs for SWIM, NIGHTVISION and INDIFFERENCE have been lowered
* number of attacks against another Player has been changed to a new formula
* OMNIVORE skill now requires you to own Body Size#2
* typos fixed
* PATT/PDEF now read "Attack rolls / Defense rolls"

The signup for the new beta should be able later today. We might kill AMAZONAS to keep the load on the server low. Ill keep you posted, please test the new changes until then.

The new beta game, "OUTBACK", should now be open for signups from your KaoBase page. Game is set to start some 20 hours from now (if I read server times right) and will use all the latest tweaks and fixes.

Get in early !

Sorry, due to auto-login I can only login as a GM now, not as Dark Monk. I was under the impression that there was a link in your main Kaobase page that would lead you to the signup.

I see starting fertility is still 30%, this will be changed to correct 15% before game kicks off.

"TK's grey mules".... hahahaha

PS: seems the game starts tomorrow 12:00 GMT, which is 13:00 CET

Hi,

If i click on Korexus' link i get a message saying i have to log in via the Kaobase. But in Kaobase there isn't a link to the game.

I finally got in, somehow. It says I am in water, but the map and my signup says I am in a swamp. Al?

Log into your KaoBase account first and then click the link.

Rune had added the AMAZONAS link manually to the KaoBase, so we will need to do it like this for now.

@Egbert: interesting... obviously it picks terrain from AMAZONAS. Of course you are on SWAMP. This should be fixed before game starts.

log into kaobase V2, click on the join amazona link. Change the Gameid=1 to gameid=4 and you're in

korexus.

Ok, that worked Korexus.

Though the first time i tried i choose turtle and got this error message:

Ouch... the numbering of species is also wrong... lets hope I didnt open up OUTBACK too early

Seems a few mixups are happening.... hehehe, Rune will love me for that.

Just signed up for Outback. My province, J7, says it's a desert, but it should be a swamp.

Also, since when do Crocodiles not know how to swim? Shouldn't that be a automatic skill.

A direct link to OUTBACK is now available from your Players page in the K2 (KaoBase V2).

Initial fertility correctly set at 15%, species ID# and terrain will change before lift-off tomorrow.

17 species in the jungle and counting.... bring your friends !

HEY Validon stole my species!!!!!!!!!!
I was the FIRST Red Parrot in this jungle he has to change his.
If I can't be the only Red Parrot in the jungle I will just take my ball and go home.

Or better yet I will take my ball a few miles South and throw it at him.

I hope so I am getting pretty bored with 15 minute turns, it makes the game move far too sloooow.
