TKG

Post by Duke » Thu May 06, 2004 5:48 am

I'd rather handle this over mail but since no-one replies to my e-mails then I either have the wrong adresses or you've put me on the blocked sender list. Both options are possible I guess

Anyway, I need a roll-call to see exactly how many active members we have. Could you please post below or send me an e-mail at mrmelin@home.se

Next issue is the Clan Head one. I am not able to keep this clan togheter as I can see it. RL takes too much of my time and I dont feel that I can run the clan properly so I rather step back.

We need a new clan head and we need....eeh... a clan actually so please come back to me on this matter.

/Duke

PS. any smart remarks from other clans/players will be shot down effectivly by me

Duke

I was waiting to see if anyone else replied.

The only active player of late has been me (as far as I know) although you did partake in my group 2 which finished in January.

I am not able (or ready) to be a clan head so unless someone else puts their hand up soon I think we will have to close the clan down.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Maille and Smashface both played in my group 1 for TKG, I think they're also in Wilfred's psuedo game. So you have the requisite 4 players at least...

TBert was playing in Josh's group before he got RIPped, but I'd imagine he still counts as active if he's a current TKG member.

I never doubted that I filled the amount necessary to still function as a clan. However, as Fredo so "kindly" pointed out we dont really play as a team at this point. I cant see how I can devote more time into WOK beside being only a player so that is why I posted this. Either someone take over or I will fold the clan.

If that happends I wont be all that sad. We had a pretty good run I think. The only thing that REALLY bugs me is how we could loose the champs when we had five (or was it six) of the spots in it. That is almost some sort of an achivement in itself. It is up there right next to when I lost with four veterans against Tbert and a bunch of newbies.

Have I ever succeeded at anything?

Well, I did GM a game or two. Hm, that invitational game got messed up and I had to switch to WOK4 and made even Al drop out. The other game pissed off a few people since I constantly changed the pace of the turns. Ok, forget the GM'ing then.

Oh yes, the story. Well it got worse and I didnt even finish it so I guess I cant count that one in.

That GM Nick game where I kicked a** in the first 10 turns and ripped like three-four players. Too bad I didnt make it in the endgame.

This was hard. I think I won a X-game by Fredo where almost everyone quitted along the way. Is that some sort of success?

Anyway, Smashf. Tbert and eehh Maille was it? (never herd of you), are you in my clan still? LOL This is soo sad

I'm sure you had only four. Just look at the 2002 Hiscore. The Scholars were the first clan that had 50% of the spots. No one had more, yet.

I was just thinking ... perhaps it's about time to remove TKG from the Clan Home page and all other relevant places since all it's former members that are still active now play in other clanse ...?

I don't think old clans should be simply removed. They should be put in a special 'dead clans' section to keep the history of WOK alive.

WOK Kaohalla has everyclan that has ever won a VP... I think a couple that haven't. They'res also the last active link on there. I should probably go through and check to see if they all work. I'll add it to my list.

Duke: Are you in VO? I guess it was premature but I thought that TKG was dead. Smashy returned as a Merc I believe, TBert hasn't been around since being eliminated from my group quite some time ago. Sal joined the Scholars.

Just let me add that in K2 we are supposedly also handling Clans in some way.

I imagine it to work like this: you log in, pick your Clan and as long as you are "active" (which means you log into your WOK account at least every say 6 weeks) your Clan will also have you listed as an "active" member. This way an active Clan is defined by having at least 4 active members at any given time and everyone can check the status of Clans and their members.

Hmmm seing the state of DOW we might want to melt TKG and DOW together, hmmmm...

Are we all clear on this subject? I breezed through it just now during a "dead" section on this fair I am at. Thank god for wireless broadband and hotzones. I wouldnt stayed alive for 5 consecutive days without WOK. I need my daily fix.

I am in VO, yes.
