2004-1 Clan Championship

Post by Bjorn » Mon Mar 01, 2004 1:21 pm

 All Hail the Brotherhood of Vayuna, top scoring clan for the period ending today, March 1st, 2004. As the active clan with the 2nd most clan points for this scoring period, The Scholars will have the priveledge of defending their title against them. :luxhello:

The Brotherhood of Vayuna has the option of choosing either WOK4 or WOK5 for the clan championship, or they can defer that option to The Scholars. Once one clan has chosen if it will be WOK4 or WOK5, the other clan chooses the map. The Clan Heads should choose their representatives and contact each other to work out the details.

We need a GM for this game. Volunteers?

At this point I turn over the title of Gatekeeper to Donut. He has created new pages with current information that Al should link to soon, if he hasn't already. Keep posting game results to the official Thread and as a courtesy email them to WOKDonut as well. :book:

Thanks for the fine praise from the Gatekeeper. The Brotherhood looks forward towards getting a shot at regaining the title that is so rightfully ours. We will discuss among ourselves and get back to the Scholars with our choice of game.

OK, it has been decided. The Brotherhood chooses a game of WOK 4. The Scholars may now choose the map.

Hehe...WOK 4...this doesn't bode well for The Scholars.

Well, we were thinking of fielding our worst players anyway - just to give the Brotherhood a chance

LOL, i don't think you need to give the Brotherhood a chance...i would think the odds are 3:1 that the Brotherhood wins.

I mean they've got Goat Herder...the one player who always refused to simply die in this game. :D

Yeah ... we really stink at that WOK4  ... please don't notice that the majority of the VPs earned to put 5 of us in the individual champs game came from that game. Eg and TK, obviously, were almost exclusively WOK5, but I know that Raw, korexus, and Skarn certainly know their way around a WOK4 map.

Guess we'll see how this goes on the battlefield ... ;)

So I guess anyone will make the cut then, eh? It's no like we didn't beat you the last time we met in WOK 5. We thought we'd try something different this time just for a change of pace.

We were hoping you would say something like that. 8)

BoV,

We choose the Forest Lake map.

I hear there are a few nice bunkers to get some Z's in.

Deja vu? :P A fine map though.

Does that 'z's' mean you hope you'll get some sleep in this game

That's a good one.

The Scholars are all set to go.

Are we just waiting for a GM to run the game for us?

Cheers,

I guess I could be persuaded to maybe run this game [glow=black][shadow=red]AGAIN[/shadow][/glow]

Just don't expect it to be fast. I will try for 2 turns a week but make no promises.

Raw, that Miss Alabama isn't, by chance, now a politician is she? I just read your sig and that was the first thing I thought.

Look Raw, I'm sick of you giving out our strategy for upcoming games. It's already been established that korexus, me and Bryk will be sleeping, with the other two doing the early damage. If Pat puts us in the starting prov's that we asked him to, then things should go well for us.

Now, let this pm be the last of it....

It'd be great if you GMed this game, Pat! :D

And with the usual lenght of Clan Champs games even 1 turn per week is OK.
