I think you did take out Raw in the previous Champs... But he joined your clan afterwards so still....Thin_King wrote:That makes us respectable again after losing 5-0 last year, to BoV.

Set up the right way? Two leagues ... leaders in each league play in a champs game. Seemed like a pretty simple way to do it -- just like thousands of other league systems work.Funtastick wrote:if this system were set up the right way?
First point has no bearing -- you folks are great at clan wars, no doubt about it. However, since you weren't the clan with the most VPs in your league this past season, means that you miss out on the big dance this time around. That's not a broken system -- everyone knew the rules -- that's simply not doing as well as CoN did at collecting VPs during the season.Funtastick wrote:Considering we're undefeated and that we're almost guarenteed a spot in the next one already only a month into the season, yes.
Funty, when that issue came up earlier I kept my mouth shut, because, while I didn't agree with you, I knew you believe it is the right thing and you want the best for our clan. But...Funtastick wrote:Doing trig homework now and don't have time to comment on everything, just going to say I find it silly a clan can be named clan champ without beating the previous champs.
Funtastick wrote:Well, maybe this is a bit early, but would the winners of the clan champs like to go in a show down with BoV to see who the REAL Clan Champs would have been if this system were set up the right way?

I didn't get any RED gems on my first mining attempts either, which prevented any of my spells from being created on turn 02.
Sometimes you just can't catch a break.
Okay ... last time, really slowly, with an example thar will hopefully make sense to you: Is it silly that Tampa Bay was named last season's NFL SuperBowl winner without playing the previous year's winner? This is a season-by-season title -- top 2 VP-scoring teams play for it.Funtastick wrote:I find it silly a clan can be named clan champ without beating the previous champs.
Well, if there were 10 clans participating in the Clan Champs, I'm sure the reigning clan would get a free ticket. However, since there are only 2 slots, you have to earn it.Lord Fredo wrote:As valid as Brykovians analogy might seem there is still an important objection to be made. The main argument for the system suggested by my clan mates is off course that, why should the ruling individual champ get a "free ticket" to the next finals a year later while the clan champions can just get booted out after six months?
Sorry man, I wasn't sure of it. I still get the impression we lost one player. Hmm maybe because I didn't take part in any fighting and remembered that we won a fight of 4 against 5. (Not counting spies of course)Raw wrote:Trewqh.....just so you know, I did not die in the previous Clan Champs nor has my team lost in a Clan Champs match up.
I think we will challenge the winner anyhow. And about those two loses... we'll manageRaw wrote:BoV.....I think I'll wait a month or 2 before I accept any clan war challenge from you as we may be the top 2 scoring clans in the end, and what fun would it be for BoV to lose 2 times in a row?
Hmm... # of times BoV has ever lost a clan war, 0, # of times the Scholars has lost to BoV, 1 out of 1 ...Raw wrote:BoV.....I think I'll wait a month or 2 before I accept any clan war challenge from you as we may be the top 2 scoring clans in the end, and what fun would it be for BoV to lose 2 times in a row?
