Good one Cal

Our problem was we thought about the opposition as if we were playing ourselves. Its much like poker. When you play new players they can surprise you by doing the most stupid things but getting lucky.

Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

:D :D :D :D :D

As proof that enough nagging can accomplish anything, Vortan has been suckered into Valn Ohtar. No seriously, I'm extremely happy that he's joining. It means TheDragon wasn't just a fluke, as I know a few of you were thinking. Don't lie!

Are you guys still here? What is even more amazing than that is that my password still works! I wonder if Calidus remembers it from the "Circle of Nine" days.

For the official record, I remember very vividly writing that post to Al to change the combat system to remove the number of armies from the combat battle calculation. GM Steve (darn if I can remember his handle right now) was ready to quit until I proposed it. Al had to refine it a bit, but it certainly changed the game to make it far more interesting.

T-Bert as clan head? Am I still in this clan?

Who let this guy in? Hey pal, the retirementcentre is further down the street.

Good to see you!! Hang around will you. Hell sort of froze over and made Tbert some sort of clan head and a father.

A lot of new faces. I am doing my best to bring the old folks back. Didnt get to you yet though so thanks for sparing me the work.

Wow, welcome back, Bjorn!

GM Steven was Yarosund, is that who you meant?

In other news, we're just starting to playtest an online version of WoK V, we could probably use the help of a veteran like yourself pretty soon.

Sure, you're still in the clan... but I might soon make up a requirement that you play at least one game every 6 months... just to convince you to play in one.

One of the players who taught me the game! Welcome back, Bjorn! :D

You may mean GM Scott? Scott was the best GM back in the day and his nick was General Havoc.

That's it! Quite the character, although not quite the character Massielita is/was.

I grew weary of multi-player games a few years ago and returned to 2-player games. I play some multi-player games face to face, but not so much over the internet. Trying to negotiate with mulitple people that way was difficult.

Who's handiwork is this website? I can barely find my way around. I guess I will have to take an hour or so and see how much the game has changed in the last couple of years.

T-Bert as clan head? Does VO still require all members to choose a symbol and have it added to the appropriate place on the clan shield? (Note my avatar)! I had the artwork for that on my old computer, but Dameon had to use photoshop to actually make the edits.

Who's in VO now?

Give me a day or two to look over this website and refresh my memory. Once I remember how this works I will sign up for a game. Still limited to two clan members/game?

VO is currently myself, Aussie Gaz, and Vortan + TheDragon, the patriarch and matriarch of the recently-arrived Lowe family. Oh, and you.

I don't know anything about the shield thing, or anything else about VO as it was. I only joined during one of my extremely short revisit times a few years ago, was in TKG before that. I became clan leader because nobody else was around.

Yes, I believe it's still 2 clan players per game.

And oh yeah... welcome back!

If you can't cope with a multiplayer game, there's always the WoK Duel variant. Two players taking 2 or 3 spots each with the remaining spaces being filled with predicatble "robot" players. No diplomacy, but a whole lot of tactics.

I thought I was in VO. Nevermind me....

I actually dug up the General....two years ago I think it was. He is some sort of NATO guy in Germany now. He popped in and had a chat with Al on the boards and then dropped off the face of the earth again. Took me two freaking weeks to find him and he leaves!

About Massie. I am looking....

I remember that. :) You're doing a great job, Duke!

Now if you could at least explain what happened to Count Henri...

Oh yeah, and there's Duke. Aaaaand Dameon.

I'm a failure as a clan head. I forgot to list two of our members. I smell bad after working out. I have no replies to my 21 posts in our clan forum. My children don't know how to to sing in tune. Need I go on?

I've been tracking Henri off and on since he left. That guy is a mystery. Didnt even leave a working IP to track on.

He knew what he did when it came to computers I guess.

Clan Forum? Is that what this is?

Message for Clan Leader T-Bert. I am ready for a WOK5 game, but I don't see one to sign up for and have no idea if one is being organized. I see a couple of WOK5 games running, but they look to be some sort of test games for an automated GM. Do you know of any GM contemplating starting a WOK5 game?

If not, then where do I go for a standard game? The only one I saw already had two VO members signed up.

Been away too long.
