Clan forums!

I have created private user groups and forums for the following clans.

Scholars,
CoN,
Vulkings,
Thuggee,
Valn Ohtar.

Clan heads (me, Calidus, trewqh, Lardmaster and Tbert) are modertors for their own group, it is their responsibility to keep both the membership and content of their forums under control.

If you cannot see your clan's forum, then your clan head probably hasn't added you to the group. Clan heads, you can do this by clicking on the memberlist icon - the middle of 7 icons towards the top of the page.
Once you have been added to a group, you can read and post on your clans private forum, which should appear in the command bunker. Have fun!

Chris.

PS. If anyone can see a forum which they are not meant to see, please let me know. It's entirely possible I got one of the permissions wrong...

Kor,

I am not listed as a moderator for the CoN forums. It will not allow me to add anyone as I am not an administrator. A little assist is needed. Thanks!

It seems Vortan's coup has taken place sooner than expected. :P

You are moderator for the group, I can make you moderator of the forum if you like, but you should have all the powers you need already.

To test everything, I've hit the apply button for the CoN group. You should get the option to add or reject me. Clearly I don't really want to join your poxy clan, so feel free to reject me :!: but this should check that the process works for your actual members.

I think what Cal means is that clicking on memberlist just brings back the below message

We are Sorry but this section of our site is for Administrators Only

Ah yes, but if you click on the middle of the 7 icons, like I said...

I've also activated the member list for registered users. There's no real reason why we shouldn't be able to see each other...

"Clan heads, you can do this by clicking on the memberlist icon - the middle of 7 icons towards the top of the page."

You were just trying to confuse us. Which admittedly isn't difficult.

The accept new user works fine as I have just done it.

I thought the reason behind this was so that our e-mail addresses are not easily available to spam bots from the memeberlist? Or am I just paranoid?

Indeedily doodily. However, spam bots suck at filling in forms and so, don't make it as far as being a registered user. :)

It's been over a month now that the Clan Forums are active. Looking at the Vulkings' forum, it was a brilliant idea to introduce that.

I wonder how active are the forums of the other clans. The Vulkings' private forum has 5 topics and 171 posts as of today, what about the other clans?

According to the forum monitor, The Scholars have 23 threads, 189 posts. So I guess we have more range but less depth than the Vulkings? (Or we just rant less...)

Vulkings come in Second with the numbers trewqh gave and Circle of Nine are not far behind with 15 threads, 147 posts. Thuggee, Valn Ohtar and BoV don't seem to be trying...

Over 2.5% of the total number of posts on the forum have been generated by the clan forums within a month.

Yay! :)

::shrug::

One of our members is working on eWok 5, the other is brand new, and I just had a baby. Besides... quality over quantity. And I've got plans for plenty more quality content.

Sounds extremely painful to me.
