Now THAT was a flamer. Ah the good old days. Except for the Massie/Ingrid wars. Now that we could have done without.
Question everything.

Tbert will be looking after Valn Ohtar for now, I'm still waiting to hear from a representative of BoT, BoV and TFF.

Ahhhhh. Alrighty then.

I remember when Duke made TKG and took everyone from AS except for Nick, so he bitterly congratulated us on changing the name of Ar-Sereg, destroying one of the very first clans.

I just wanted to clear it up because I'm still listed on the TKG page (not that it's been updated in what looks like a long time). I'll have to find the VO website, now that I'm clan head and all.

Amen. Although I do miss my hours-long ICQ convos with Ingrid, she was pretty cool when she wasn't psycho.

Clan info is stored at lobby->clans. Currently it's just a list of members and the clan head in most cases, but heads can add some text and a picture, plus most pages have a link to bigger websites (including the VO profile)

I've just figured out how to add private forums to these boards. These would work just like the regular forums, but only be visible to people logged in under specific usernames. I was thinking, I could set one up for each of the clans, for you all to plot in privately. I know that most clans have a mailing list, but this would help in my attempt to bring all of WoK into the one site...

Clan heads would be moderators of the forum and responsible for which other users could view it. I could try to tie the allowed users in with the Lobby's list of clan members (or not, if some clan heads would prefer the option to have differing lists...)

Any thoughts?

Right, listen up people. This is important.

In order to make clan forums truely private, I have removed admin status from trewqh and myself. (Admins can view all forums regardless of membership.)

I've balanced this by making us both moderators for each public forum, this means that the day to day level of control has not shifted

but

I have had to remove my access to the gui which lets me ban you horrible people. That means that, should anyone abuse the rules, I have to trawl through the database manually in order to ban you, putting me in a bad mood and therefore probably increasing the severity of the ban. So NO BREAKING THE RULES!

I'd also appreciate an American volunteer to moderate during the hours that we Europeans really should be asleep...

Smashy NOOO! Don't turn to the dark side!

Come to the light! Join BoV or the brave knights of Valn Othar. At least the foods good at the Brotherhood.

korexus wrote:Our current list of active clans is:

The Balance of Time.
The Brotherhood of Vayuna.
The Circle of Nine.
The First Family.
The Scholars.
The Vulkings.
Valn Ohtar.

The other clans have ONE WEEK to tell me who the clan head is or I will disband them too. (Otherwise new players mail a clan head who may be missing.)
Lord Fredo has agreed to look after BoV. I have heard nothing from either the First Family or Balance of Time, so I am flagging them as innactive. Any innactive clan can be re-activated very easily. All I need is someone willing to be clanhead.

Smashface - welcome brother.

No more shall our blades meet one another in anger.

The Circle continues to expand, soon our might will dwarf even the scholars. Victory to The Circle.

Lord Vortan sits drawing upon a scrap of parchment. He puts the final detail to it and there! It is finished. A perfect likeness of Lord Lardmaster cowering amid the forests.

He stands and walks across to the dartboard and places the drawing on to it. Then taking up the darts he proceeds to use the lump of lard for target practice.

The battle in the forests was coming, soon thought Vortan, I will get to do this for real. Perhaps he will learn that those who voice their willingness to ally with the scholars are as bad as the scholars themselves. And to cast aspertions against our most noble and honourable members. This cannot be tolerated. The Lardmaster must pay. :sniper:

You know, I'm sure we used to be the good guys. Yeah, I'm almost certain of it. Someone pass Vortan a stories pack.
