I have a question as to how to color my map. Massie has Prov. 44 in my group. It is a desert terrain and the map maker won't color it. I saved the map at it's greatest quality and I still can't get it to fill. Any suggestions?

GM Josh

P.S. Players please note that Massie has 44.

Click on the checkbox where it says "Save BMP copy" - then open the bitmap copy of the map in paint and color it by hand. Save it as a JPG.

:P

If there is something wrong with the INI lmk and send in a working file plz.

There's a couple of things which could be going on.

Firstly, you might find that the coordinates for the province actually lie over a pice of decoration or the number in that province, so only that gets coloured.

Secondly, I found that if I saved the jpg at the highest quality then both the mapmaker and paint would read parts of the province as a different type of white, meaning that the fill command didn't work very well. I got round that by using the original (blank) bmp for the map in the mapmaker. I've only run one turn though, so far. So there may be a problem with that method somewhere down the line...

Hmmm, maybe that wasnt totally clear, but whenever you color a map from a Turn simply use the blank original bitmap and color it. DO NOT use the saved JPG from last Turn.

The MapMaker was made to color a blank BMP and convert it to a JPG.

Turn Run. Page updated. All goes well ... I think. Al I'm sending you the new INI for the map. It was coloring a spec of desert :P So I just moved the x-value to the right a couple of pixels.
