New Game! - Nestaria...

Post by Nestalawe » Thu Jul 31, 2003 9:20 am

Hello everybody!

New game open, from a new GM, me!

Read my houserules, and if you are cool with all that, then sign up.

New map, works fine, should be farily straighforward.

Lets get rocking...

Cheers,

GM Toby / Nestalawe'

And turn 00 is run!

All seems in order, fairly ordinary set up, looking forward to seeing how people play with the bottlenecks...

Fairly long first turn run, turns after that will be shorter, most likely due Mondays and Thursdays. But I will keep you all informed...

Enjoy...

Hi Guys;

It looks I will be the permanent replacement for Dameon in this game. Not a real prime position, but I will play it out. Maybe Toby can update the group page with this information.

Does anyone know why turn 04 was rerun?

Yeah, I know, I suck

But, I will be getting things back in order. Lots of strong positions in this game, so its a good one to watch...

I am in the process of editing the military units in everyones turns so they are the same as they were in the original run.

Once that is done, I will run turn 05 and have them all out to you.

I have just sent an email to all payers at any rate.

la dee dum....

Not at all. As long as you make the effort to keep the game going and have turns run on time you are our hero. The GMs that suck are the ones who set a deadline and you don't hear from them for two weeks after the deadline. Suddenly you receive your turn report with a new deadline only three or four days off, where upon another two or three weeks go by and you get another turn report with a 3 or 4 day deadline. How many new players will play a second game after that?

Anyone who signs up for a GMs first game should expect some rough spots. Most of us appreciate your attempt to just keep the game going forward.

That is correct, mistakes happen and everyone will understand especially if it is your first game.

As long as you make the effort to correct the problem then we will be satisfied with the results.

Reruns suck 'cause it usually ends up worse than better but that's how things go.

So don't feel bad, we understand.

I've been filling in for Raw while he's out honeymooning ... but ...

I can't see the group page -- I'm getting Access Denied errors ... and I need to see the map in order to put proper movement orders in.

Anyone else having problems getting to the page?

I sure get tired of that "Access is Forbidden" nonsense.
If you try these guys, let me know how it works out.

You could try http://www.0catch.com It's what I used up until I switched to my IPs' 10MB free space. It's easy to update and fairly reliable.

0catch is down quite a lot. :( Best thing to do is to get some real Kaomaris webspace from Al! :)

Does anyone here look closely at their turn report? I didn't until this last turn. I figured I would have just enough income to pay my troops, but the bill came due and there was not enough money.

I didn't start this turn with the same amount of POP I ended turn 10 with. In fact, looking over my previous turn reports, this has happened every turn since turn 3. Some provinces have more, some less, each turn. Is it just me?

It looks like the POP bug has been plagueing this game for some time. I guess this means Korexus is not in this game, as he usually spots that right away.

In the POP 'bug' that I and Seth have encountered POP was always reset to the basic value from the INI.

Just a reminder to check if this is the same thing.

There is no POP bug..... doooh.

Rather call it the 'semicolon bug' or the way Windows treats separators differently depending on where in the world you live.
