You do know that you need to ask me, don't you? - My crystal ball is out of order right now. :P

Unfortunately, I spent all morning doing WoK adjustments, so now I might have to do some actual work for a while. I'll have a look as soon as I get a chance though...

No problem. It would be useful as a newbie to be able to see a published game of advanced WoK before playing a game. I know that looking at the published Duels that it help me understand how certain strategies worked.

Up to the guys who played in the Alpha Test.

I think I can still published that game if no body objects.

Probably best to wait for a game which worked...

Anybody looking through the current game would probably be confused by units jumping around between turns. I have no objections in principal though. If the Omega test goes without a hitch it would be a good candidate.

Xarfei's suggestion of a test game would help too of course.

turn 0 is out.

I thought the game was supposed to be "all players start in a city" + "no player without a city"?

I don't mind to play without those rules, but I thought we were supposed to test these options.

Also, when I clicked on the "house rules", it said somewhere one the bottom that no headhunting is allowed for 2 (!) turns. I just want to check that this is really the case.

Cities is a bug that Gaz and I are trying to fix.

Headhunting is the result of a misguided attempt to make Standard WoK fairer (which actually has the opposite effect). I'm working on getting that one revoked...

Expect at least one more rerun, but not for a few hours a it's bed time now...

Ah, Egbert did join. :)

I am guessing that 8 of the players in this game have competed in a WOK 5 Champs game?

At least we have plenty of WOK 5 players for when the game starts after testing.

Bug fixed. You should all be able to get your TR's now.

Headhunting: - I can reset the HH protection to 1 turn for attacking, spying and gcaing (or combinations of the 3). Let me know what you want?

Nemesis

If (when) we run an advanced wok champs game I have the current reigning champion on standby to defend his title. That will liven up the place.

Who is the current WOK Champ? I would guess at TK. What year did it last run? 2005?

Guys

I will be resetting the headhunting option to 1 turn.

So from turn 2 everything is fair game.

Fellow Wokers

Despite an email sent yesterday I still have no replies from the following players:

CrazyPsycho
Yondallus
BigJOzzy

Has anyone heard from these players in the last couple of days / Week?

I am going to put this game on hold temporarily.

If I do not hear from the above within the next 24 hours I will substitute another player for 1 or more of them.

Gaz :(

I've heard from BigJOzzy, I believe he plans to play.

I've heard from Yondallus, I don't know if he plans to play.

I haven't heard from Crazy Psycho, but then I haven't tried to contact him...

Well, BigJOzzy has at least replied to Emails, so he should be active.

If you decide to replace 1 or more players, you have do extend the deadline even further to allow players to change their orders / re-negotiate.

Although, since this is a test game for no VPs we could skip that part and run the turn a.s.a.p.

If you click on CP's profile it says he was last active on 9th December, so there is hope he will play and hasn't left/gone missing.

Hey Gaz,

Could you please post a.s.a.p whether Yondallus or CrazyPsycho get replaced? Since the replacement will be a clanmate of mine, I want to avoid running into him.

Yes please. I have to say that, even in a test game, my play will be notably different with a clanmate in that corner than a player who doesn't reply to my emails...

Ok.

I have replaced Yondallus with Ultyguy.

I have heard from BigJozzy.

Still nothing from CrazyPsycho.

The turn will run in 25 hours ready or not.

Gaz
