I've noticed 2 things:

1> The colors applied to the player names in the commentary do not match the colors on the map.

2> The marketplace listings are a tad on the user-unfriendly side. ;)

Otherwise ... slick as snot! :D

Actually, that would be me forgetting to extend the deadline for him.

Colours in commentary (and turn reports) should now match the map.

Items weren't being stored properly in the market place, which didn't help them to display properly. That should be fixed now

A bug which changed your tribe to Hobgob if you put anything on the market has been removed.

Only three problems from turn 1. I don't know if that's a good thing (the code is well written) or a bad thing (the testers suck!) :P

Ready for the next turn whenever you are!

Smashy: You are supposed to start at TL 0, however your post did lead me to a bug which let yougo up tech levels without putting in an order or paying, if someone else had gone up already, so thanks.

Before you get carried away Chris.......... :D

1) When changing feeding level the number is missing a % sign. Currently for example is says feeding level is now 80.

2) Trying attacks that your tech level doesn't allow doesn't let you do the attacks but nothing in the turn report tells you they have failed.

3) Changing your tribe doesn't display properly. The text just says "yiu have changed your tribe from to"

4) I ended the battle for prov 48 with 9 armies, however, my final stats now say I only have 3 armies in there.

Just a note for everyone.

korexus has started everyones home province with a defence level of 1.00 but the Wok 5 version 3.30.7 default was/is 2.00.

Spells 82, 83 & 88 (10 Fingers, 20 Fingers and Protect) can be given as a statup spell so you have a 1 in 5 chance of getting one of them on turn 0. (they were taken out by Al in version 3.30.5 and can be taken out reasonably easily if everybody thinks they should).

Trying to tidy up the marketplace display at the moment.

Is everyone happy with the Phase heading colours etc.

Suggestions for formatting changes also welcome.

I tried to keep the turn reports looking similar to the WOK 5 versions but there is no real reason they have to look identical.

Is the manual that is currently available from the "WOK V manual" link in the lobby up-to-date?

Also, is can the list of tribe capabilities be added to the manual? Or, if that's still supposed to be treated as "secret -- learn it from your clan" stuff (which is kind of silly, imo), can there be a list posted that shows what clan capabilities have been coded into the new online version?

There had been a series of tribe changes in the old WOK5 engine after the last game that I played in ... so I'm unsure what each one does now.

Thanks,
-Bryk

Good point, Gaz. I foolishly went from a turn report instead of the WoK V changelog when setting constants.

Bryk, you can see the list of changes to WoK V over the years at http://www.kaomaris.com/history.htm - several of the clans are listed here and a full list was put on the boards a bit back, so I guess they're public knowledge now.

Someone will have to re-write the manual once we're ready to go, but the one linked from the Lobby *should* be upto date as of Al's last version of the WoK V engine.

Items 1 to 3 have been fixed. (I think)

Not sure about province 48. Check that you have not converted the missing armies into something else.

I had to update the rungame script. The engine kept trying to run Sal's game and falling over, meaning it never got to te test game.

From now, the alpha test should run once a day - or more often if everyone hits the 'I am ready' button.

Just fixed an error in phase Ve.

If you have any workers trying to chop wood the report is saying that you harvest corn but you have actually chopped down some trees.

Also - please pay particular attention to the following

The values displayed for PATT & PDEF during your battles.
The revised LEV when combining new troops with experienced ones etc

Is anyone mining for diamonds yet?

I have not actually run a test on that part of the code and would appreciate some feedback.

I set my feeding level to %80 but next turn it had reverted back to %100. I'm sure it's supposed to stick from turn to turn.

No it isn't.

"The minimum number for feeding needs to be 35% to avoid workers going on strike - if you put a number below 35% the manager will correct that value to 35%. If no feeding level is given for your turn, the manager will set the feeding level back to 100% automatically."

Is there any chance of setting up an Advanced WoK practice game at this point?
