I am able to post because I went to the college computer room (where I am now) so that I could let players know about the delay, however I cannot run the turn from here.

It's been hours ago since you first reported this problem.

What is going on?

Here in the states, USA, things like this are fixed within a few minutes.

That's not what Nick's been telling us about his internet connection. :P

Nick doesn't live in the USA, he lives in California which I believe China owns 92% of it so he lives in China....

A player in my game is going away for a short while (1-2 turns) and needs someone else to do his orders for him. He has asked if his clanmate who is also in the same game could send in orders for him.

Generally I don't see a problem with this (and I allow deputies to send in orders for up to 2 turns (houserules)) but I am not sure if the substitute player is allowed to be in the same game (i.e. send in orders for two of the players).

I personally in this case don't see a problem with that but maybe there is a rule against this that I am not aware of, so I am just posting here to check.

No one posting their opinion on this matter?

Independent of the above post, a player has asked for an extension, so
I will delay turn#03 for 24h until tomorrow (monday).

As long as they are fromt he same clan, it doesn't matter to me.

Sounds actually harmeless.............

There's no rule against it, so just go with your discretion.

I can think of one similar case, in Al's 17 a player (Moridin or Warped Angel I think, but could be wrong) needed a substitute and asked me. Al refused because I had already been in the game so there is some precedent. I wasn't in the same clan though and there are probably a lot more cases where this has been allowed, I just can't think of any off hand...

Any advantage the players get from better coordination is assumed to happen between clan mates anyway, even if it doesn't always in practice and it is probably counter-balanced by the greater loss from missing a turn anyway.

I always allowed it as a gm. Some other gm's don't allow it for some dark reason. In the end it's just a gm's discretion wether he allows it or not.

A player has emailed me saying that he can still only see the old map (before I used Undertakers orders) but I did upload the new map (where Duke now only has one province left) and when I look at the page (even after refreshing it) I can see the new map.

Can other players see the new map (Duke->only one province) or is my computer toying with me?

I see old commentary, old map(turn 3) and nothing new.

I've checked from here at work and at home and both show the old stuff.

Are you sure you uploaded the right game?
