Otherwise why not simply start with 9? :D

Xarfei has a thing about perfectly balanced starting positions, hence the symmetry in the island and the idea of clan pairs starting opposite each other. Having a empty city on the map would completely blow that out of the water, I imagine that's why not.

Oh and technically beginners can't join WoK V games, this is a bit of a heavy handed rule so I wouldn't personally object to protput joining up, I just thought I should mention it...

Indeed the reason why I cannot start with 9 is that it whould give an unfair advantage to the two players that neighbour the empty city.

The only thing I could think of is that the 6 provinces surrounding and including the city are "removed" from the game, i.e. nobody is allowed to take them (and of course the ports of the two neighbours would then count as neighbouring each other).

This would even give me an opportunity to control the 10th player myself and play around a bit (without ever interacting with anyone else).

Still, I don't think that would be a very good solution, so I will wait for a 10th player.

Is there really nobody else who wants to play wok5????

PS:Maybe I can convice TK to go merc after his finals so that he can play.

I would play, even as a silly Merc and i would make it my goal to get rid of those pesky Scholars!

Even if I would want to play, there's already two TFF players in.

There's 8 clans or so and only 4 clans have representatives. Something seems not right

Sorry Portput, I didn't realise you were a member of TFF.

Oh well, at least you have some decent WOK5 players in your clan should you ever need any advise.

Hmm... WOK5... *glancing at manual*

Yeah, that's complicated, even if my name does begin with X. I think I'm gonna stick to the simpler one for awhile yet...

Raw has dropped out of the game, so there are now TWO open spots left in my game.

Yet a new development:

The mighty Yarosund has decided to join my game and he might even convince another one of his clanmates to join, in which case we would have 10 players and....
....we would actually be able to start the game!!!!!

Shakira has also joined my group, hence I was finally able to start my group.

Fighting for the VPs are five clanmate pairs:

Korexus and Grave Maker (Scholars)
Allister Fiend and Undertaker (First Family)
Donut and Lord Fredo (BoV)
TBert and Duke (Valn Ohtar)
Yarosund and Shakira (BoT)

Good luck everyone, let's have a good game!

Raw apperently runs when he sees a hippo.
First one here, last one to leave.

Hippos aren't that scary, they are rather more amusing:

I have added a link to my game page that leads to a page stating and explaining all the rules regarding the use of the ports. Players are adviced to have a look at this page.

Here is a link if you want to go there directly:

If anyone spots any inconsistencies or mistakes post here.
