Activity Points.

How do you low level players feel that activity points work out? Too many? Not enough? I've come to the conclusion that at high levels, you get far too many of them. I'm playing as a hobbit, which is one of the slower races and yet today in an hour and a half I managed to go out, go up two levels and still have 4,200 AP left over. Obviously high level characters should have more AP, but I'm thinking maybe a logarithmic growth would be better. I just don't want to kill the early game in the process...

I'm a bit confused as to why high level players have more APs. If anything things cost them less due to stat bonuses don't they? I can't think of another game I have played where your action points increase with level, they are just a set amount per day (slightly more if you pay for an elite account or whatever).

i think they start off a bit low, but then once you like level 25 they are too high.... i disagree with LM here because at higher levels syou need spells that cost 40, 120 AP instead of the 13 Ap for the lower level spells, while not every charactor is mage type, pretty much every charactor has to use some magic to keep up with the monsters...

Mainly because they have to do more stuff. If they were to stay in the vicinity of the city, they'd kill all the low level monsters, leaving nothing for the low level players to do, so I tempt them further away with critters worth more exp and with better items. However having to walk the extra distance uses up lots of extra activity points, more so than the reductions from stats (which really aren't that big.) Movement spells can help, but then you need AP to cast them anyway...

This is the way dragon court handles the tick cost, it is also the route we took with species, that the more powerful you are the more you can do. The other online RPGs I've played weren't tick based, so I don't have anything else to go on.
