Hi all,

I got these little sweeties earlier while I was on this board.

I know zip about how these things work but if I can get it from this board I probably did since my virusprogram flipped out when I was reading a thread about Josh South America group.

The files in "Temporary Internet Files" are not necessarily from the CURRENT (read: WOK) site you are visiting, in fact I seriously doubt youve gottenthe worms from our site.

We have some good control on who can upload stuff. And our web provider is also known to perform good scans on a regular basis.

Maybe try to visit those dirty other sites a bit less next time. :P

PS: get rid of IE and try using a real browser too 8)

Hey! How did you know about those sites?? Oh, you were joking. Hm, nevermind then.

I tried to use Opera but low-quality sites like this one doesnt work properly with it. Until those norwegians changes Opera or that Austrian changes this site then I will gladly bend over for corprate America with Mr.Gates in the front line.

About the viruses. Are these the suckiest there is or did F-secure slit their throats before they did anyting since I havent noticed anything. Havent checked my bank accounts yet so hang on......

Wait, I found something. It has changed my Turnreport from Joshs group 5. I have less armies then I should and my place in the OOP sucks. I would like to bring that up to the WSC and demand a re-run of that turn.

Dukieboy I use Opera 7.51 (without ads) and it works like a breeze for "this low-quality site". In fact its quite faster and way more secure then IE. I also use the Opera email client M2 instead of that BS Outlook crap, and never had to regret it.

Make sure to download the latest version of that quality browser, play around a bit with it and you will get hooked. :P

Ok then, I use 6.05 with ads. That might explain it.

It is still a low-quality site however

Alrighty, I updated to the lastest Opera and have to say that it is far better. I couldnt agree with you more Al on all those things you said about it.

Cant get the M2 to work however. I even got a operamail account but it still doesnt work for me. I had to close my firewall to get any reaction at all from it and even then it didnt work. Said something about invalid pop3 server which I found odd since if I choose an operamail account then all the values became pre-set.

Always something with these Norwegians.

Hmm... Dookie likes Opera. Maybe I'll have to give it a go. I need to get away from Outlook as I think it may be my problem with e-mail.

Hmmm.... I can't figure out how to use my e-mail on this stoopid thing. Gimme some pointers on why this is better. And don't gimme that security crap cause if someone wants the stuff on my computer they can have it  .

Does anyone know the server for the hotmail mail?

Donut

P.S. - I still have ads on this version...

Fredo, please be silent unless you actually have something to say.

Donut,

That server thingy is a bit tricky to figure out. I couldnt find it for you but you need the POP server and the SMTP one.

I didnt get it to work despite having operas mail so I wouldnt get my hopes up.

Try this for a start guys:

http://www.opera.com/support/tutorials/opera/m2/

Let me tell you that M2 (Operas mail client) will require you a little bit time to get used to it. Basically the difference is that it gives you "views" for every mail it gets (that way a mail could be in different views, according to its content)

In the end its not that hard, trust me. If ol' AL managed to learn it you can too. :P

PS: get rid of that stupid hotmail crap too whilre youre at it

Still doesnt work for me.

The thing is that I dont get any error messages at all but nothing gets sent or recieved.

Is the firewall messing this up? Am I in some sort of cocoon?

Duke,

I got my school account to work with Opera. I used the IMAP mail, the trick is to find the right server that has to be used. I happen to know which server at school all of my mail is on because I've had to deal with it way to often, but I don't know what it is for hotmail.

Also, I can't even figure out how to view my mail.
