Tired of Spam ? Possible remedies....

Post by gm_al » Sat Jun 28, 2003 11:20 pm

Oh yes, me too gets tons and heaps of spam daily. In fact over 90% of my mail has become spam lately.

So I thought it was time to do something. I found a real good remedy for spam, one that is FREE and powerful. Check this site:

http://www.spampal.org/

It will NOT work for Hotmail/Yahoo/AOL etc. accounts, but all others should be fine. Installation might sound a bit tricky, but is in fact easy.

What Spampal does is to check the mails while retrieving them with known spamlists and then mark them as 'good' or as 'spam'. All 'spam'-marked will go into a new folder (called Spam of course) so nothing will be lost. You can even put all the email adresses from your friends into Spampals whitelist so they come through all the time.

I really like the tool, and it helps to keep my inbox clean of all the junk.

Any other known spam remedies - plz post here !!

Me too korexus, maybe Al's saving that "remedy" for another post though. 8)
