WoKCon 2008?

Post by korexus » Wed Jan 16, 2008 10:21 pm

Well, the last one started out with a single journey so why not try it again...

In February I am going to Vienna. I vaguely remember some random old WoKer living over there and have emailed him to see if he and his wife fancy a get together. Is anyone else in a position to take a trip to Vienna? And does anyone have a contact for Validon? I know he worked in Germany a lot, he could be within striking distance. It would be good to bring him back if we could.

Well, I am within striking distance.
However, if I remember correctly, I have quite few things to do during the coming february.
Nevertheless, if I turns out that I have time, I could be convinced to join you.
When exactly are you planning to visit Vienna (or have you no decided yet)?

PS: Those two old wokers, weren't they called Dark Queen and Monk Pea?

Poland joined the Schengen zone, might as well take advantage of it. You got me thinking there. :)

It'd have to be between the 13th and the 23rd for me to be able to start thinking about it seriously, though.

Already booked flights. I'm arriving on Sunday the 17th of February and leaving on Friday 22nd. I relaise that that leaves out the weekends but the tickets were cheaper then.

And you're almost right on those other guys . It would be good to hear from them again...

I'm on the wrong side of a very large body of water, which makes me very sad. My wife and I spent two weeks in Vienna a few years back and I think it might be my favourite city. Have fun, all of you who make it there!

'Alas poor' - this quote needs not finishing; I'm broke in a strangely penny pinching (isn't Vienna cold this time of year) way...
