POP STEAL & IMMOVABLE WORKERS
Two minor issues I have noticed occassionally in the few games I have played.
1* The Steal Pop spy option sometimes reports a success but doesnt actually give you the stolen pop while other times it does.
2* In F.I.T.S and more recently in my v Dragonette I seem to have Workers that, despite giving them move orders just fail to move reporting that I have none to move. They then work happily next turn.
Neither issue is life threatening (the way I lose) but thought you may want to know.

The most likely case with the spies is that there is no population to steal. I can add a comment to the script in that case.
Can you point me at specific game, turn and player numbers so I can check the Turn reports? (Do it by PM if you don't want players to know...)
Chris.

I've found the spy problem.
A typo meant that if there was less POP in the province than you were able to steal, you got none. On the bright side this means that when it happened, you didn't miss out much.
I can't see a problem in the movement script. If you can point me to a specific turn report I have a much better chance of working out where the bug could be...

From the manual linked in the Lobby:
4> The Beginning
You start in a single, randomly selected province. The province you are given will not be adjacent to a province of another player, so everyone gets a chance to build up in the first round. The provinces differ in the following aspects :
ID# - The number of the province
NAME - Its name
#P - Which player rules it (1-10, 0=neutral)
POP - The population (0-999)
WOK - The workers (0-125 !)
ARM - The armies (0-999)
LEV - The level of the armies (1.000-9.999)
DEF - The defense level (0.0-9.9)
MIS - The stocked missiles (0-99)
SPY - The spies (0-99)

Hmm, there are actually some differences between the two sets of rules. (No prizes for guessing where this is going.)
We should be consistent, I'm sure I delegated this job in the past, but nothing seems to have happened.
I wrote the Lobby linked version, Egbert wrote the one linked in the left hand menu. People objected to the style of mine and, as you've discovered, Egbert left some things out because they seemed either too obvious or too trivial to him.
What we need is someone to do a combined version of the rules. Someone who's new enough to WoK to notice when something has been overlooked. Someone who's got enough time to do really thorough job and track down any details which may be missing from both manuals. Someone with a literary bent so that what could be a dull manual will still be interesting to read.

Erm... too be honest i was already working on that. I'm also adding a lot of examples (with pretty pictures) so it should be a lot more newbie friendly.
