Not that I'm saying we value teachers that much more here in the States... it's just that round here salesmen tend to be viewed as target practice.

I think there are big differences between the European countries. E.g. in Germany teachers get paid quite a lot AND it is impossible to fire them once they have been employed for 2-3 years.
(Well, not completely impossible, since accepting bribes, beating pupils or being a terrorist would still get you fired).

I remember a french teacher I once had who was absoluteyl completely useless. Everyone knew it including the other teachers but he just couldn't get fired. The only thing they could do was to send him to a different school after 2 or 3 years (from what I heared he was a techer at more than 10 different schools during his "career").
A latin teacher I once had was actually a bit "crazy". I once convinced him that I wasn't me who was talking during class but "someone from a different dimension". I also managed to convince him that I deserved an A despite the fact that I got a "C-" in my exams.

Just for the record. I am joking about the salarystuff. I do think Fredo is a teacher though but I have no idea of what he is making.

I am not a 100% salesman per say. I have a net of re-sellers that does the actual selling. I help them with the tiny nugget I like to call "actually knowing the product". So I explain why and how a machine/chemical/utensil work.
I am in fact educating more then I sell. The step between me and Fredo isnt that far if you look past the fact that he makes huge impact in the upbringing of a lot of children and I try to explain to fat factoryguys why they need something better then a broom to clean the floors with.

:) Well maybe you're not so far off even though I have no idea how much you make either D. I am fairly sure it's quite a bit more than I do. (At least I hope so for your sake :P )

Ah... so you're not an actual salesman, you're more prestigious... more like a marketing executive, or a VP of something-or-other. :)

It depends on how you look upon things. We are really splitting hairs.

An executive however, well no. The guy who usually gets the fun job of bringing all the crap back and cleaning it after a demonstration...usually yes.

::TBert comes back to the forums after many months of being unable to login to the site because Al hates Mozilla::

Wow...what a great thread to start my WOK Forum reintroduction with... uhm... I make 1/3 of what I could make as a civilian...was that relevant? I've forgotten how this whole thing works

Problems logging in with Mozilla?

Are you being serious or just using that as an excuse.

If you mean it, PM me and I'll look into it as soon as I sober up after the drinking session I plan to have on Thursday. Alternatively, PM mullog and he'll look into it as soon as he's stopped digging for oil / making 2Gb baby movies / campaigning to save rabbits. Your guess is as good as mine as to which will happen first...

Nope nope nope, TBert is not making it up. For a while there, IE wasn't working either, so I gave up for the aforementioned many months, and one day tried it again and IE works now.

Anyway, every time I try to login it comes up with a blank page like so...

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/kaomaris/public_html/phpNuke/config.php:120) in /home/kaomaris/public_html/phpNuke/mainfile.php on line 193

Lines similar to that also show up at the top half of the page everywhere I go in the WOK site.

Oh yeah... DUKEE!!!!

I am using Mozilla 1.7.3 and have been doing so for many months with no problems.

Must be something wrong with your setup there Tbert.

At a guess, you need to enable cookies. I'll look into it more later.(Honest, I'm not looking into it now! )

Also, if you don't have at least whatever version Gaz says works, you should probably upgrade.

I've never viewed this site in anything other than Firefox, and it's always worked fine for me. I'm running 1.0 PR, which is not the latest version, but still works much better than IE on everything.
