I also don't have a preference for Lite or regular
You're right Tigress. That map is MUCH too difficult for LardMaster to play on. He'd be instantly confused!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you.

We should bring it out again though.

 Calidus, do you fancy a Duel on, say, Baron Roland's "True Vertical" map?

Lord Calidus ponders the maps as the the sentries escort the foreign messenger into his dimly lit tent. Lord Vortan and Lord Yondallus fall silent as the road weary messenger strides forward to stand in the shallow light. Even in the dim light, Lord Calidus can see Lord Korexus' sigil emblazoned on the messenger's chest.

"And to what do I owe the pleasure of the company of one of Lord Korexus' underings?" rumbles the diminutive leader of the Circle of Nine. "Lord Calidus, I have a message from...." Calidus holds a gauntleted hand to stop the messenger from speaking. "I know who sent you from the insignia on your chest, lad. What brings you these many miles to seek me in the middle of nowhere?"

Looking chagrinned, the messenger begins anew "Lord Calidus, Lord Korexus sends a challenge to meet him on the field of battle. Your charges are to meet Lord Korexus in Baron Roland's land of the Vertical." "Treacherous terrain, indeed, lad. Have you ever been to the Baron's lands?" The messenger, suddenly startled to be asked a question by one of the most ruthless leaders of the free world, stammers "no, my Lord." "I thought not. The lands rise and fall abruptly, with many a treacherous passage. The last time I was there, it was a Scholar who ended the campain. Tell Lord Korexus that his challenge has been accepted, and I will meet him on that battlefield."
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you.

After an intro like that, it had better be full!

Lord Vortan follows the messenger out of Lord Calidus's tent into the cold dark night and stealthily creeps behind him as the messenger prepares to mount his steed. He never stood a chance as he felt the cold steel blade penetrate his back and puncture his lung...

He lifted the messengers crumpled corpse and laid it over the saddle then tied it in place and wrote a message in the couriers blood for all the read. "Death awaits all Scholars ..."

He slapped the horse and watched it rear slightly before it galloped from the camp into the night. This fate was too good for a scholar he thought to himself as he calmly cleaned the blood from his blade. No far worse fates would have to be devised for future encounters ... far worse indeed.

The characteristic smile was allowed to slip momentarily across Vortans battle scarred face. Their time would come .. soon.

He turned, re-sheathed his blade and returned to the tent to discuss the coming battles.

Sorry not been following this thread for some reason. Full please. I don't like things with "lite" in the title. It's not even a proper spelling. I mean how difficult can it be to spell things correctly. :D

Suburbia might prove to be a decent map.
Question everything.

Vortan is this a public challenge to all Scholars?

Well lets see 'Lord' Saladin.

When the Scholars leader regards our most noble clan as POXY, I think my contempt is justified albeit posted pre-Korexus statement. The Scholars is a clan that turns daughters against their own fathers and are thus beneath contempt and worthy only to be wiped from ones boots.

When all others have been erased in Back to the Roots we will let might be the judge. This is, and will be until times end, a blood war, unless my clanhead orders me otherwise.

How about a clan war?

We could use the Duel Setup to make up for lack of players. The three of you take on three of us, with robots filling the remaining spaces.

Or are you too

Or should we have maybe a tag team clan war. Thuggee would support The Scholars for old times sake which would give our side 5 players......
Question everything.

I'll sit on the side line and cheer :luxhello:

Let the best win [ scholars]

Let the worst lose [ circle of nine or any other tribe that tries to beat us]

Well I am up for it! Cant speak for my clansmen though. I think Cal is snowed under with other commitments game wise. If our forum board ever comes active I'll ask.

Until then you had better put your chicken away and stop counting it's eggs before they've hatched. We have an experienced teacher now who IS on OUR side with advice. Ooops, not saying your impartial advice isn't of course, wouldn't dream of it 'Mr I'll just sit hiding here behind Vortan while TB kicks his butt.'

Vortan. I told you from the start that my plan was to hide and build up. The advice I gave you was all good and none of it designed to benefit me (except when we were fighting trewqh together at which point, of course, it benefitted both of us). The decision to attack Tbert was entirely yours, you didn't even ask me to join in, so of course I didn't.

Anyway, I'll do something slightly more interesting this turn. I'm starting to get bedsores...
