8th Duel: SPOG

Post by korexus » Mon Jan 01, 2007 5:54 pm

Now that the Duel of Skulls is underway, I've opened up another one; SPOG is celebrating the Second Page Of Games in the WoK Online Game database. Let's make it a good one. As always, check out the link from the Lobby or use the View Open Games link.

If any GM wants to take over this game, to get a feel for running Duel games, just let me know. It's pretty easy to do these days.

New blood to the Duel world, but veterans both welcome back, this game has been filled by Donut and (fanfare please) Validon.

This should be a good one!

Well... I had actually intended on joining your other group...

But, since it's my Arch Nemesis... I'll play.

Chris: Could you sign me up for the other one too?

Are you happy for the turn to run, Validon? If so, I'll press the button, but I haven't heard from you so I haven't done anything yet.

Alternatively, press the button on the game page which says you're ready for the turn to run (after checking the confirm box. I'm still open for ways to simplify this) and the turn should run automatically next time the hour rolls over...

Let battle commence!

Turn to run

Post by Validon » Wed Jan 10, 2007 9:28 pm

So even though all the orders are in and the turn is past due I still have to hit the button???? Seems odd lol

Will do though

A standard WoK game would run as soon as the deadline passed, whether you were ready or not. But in a 2 player duel it seems better to wait. The easiest way for the manager to know you are ready is for you to tell it. :)

Sure, just wait now for the hour to roll over and the turn will run.

Note, pressing the button once does for all three players in a Duel game.

What happened to Duel SPOG for us watchers? It no longer appears to be listed in "View Running Games" ?

There was an issue with the code which caused SPOG to be run instead of any other game. I paused it so that Val and Donut wouldn't get anymore re-runs then fixed the problem. While the game was paused it won't have shown on view running games.
