Good thing I put yellow's armies in #16  Now we can have a merry-go-round down there.

Battle between the unpronounceables!

Whose name will end up on the trophy? However illegibly ....

Well, Turn 1, Hryllantre and trewqh managed to avoid bumping into each other anywhere - first time that's happened in a Duel game, I think. I have a feeling there's bound to be some bumping on Turn 2 ......

I have a feeling trewqh armies in #16 aren't there!! hehe

We shall find out next turn though, won't we!?!

This will be a full-on attack minded game with no quarter given.

Win or lose from my perspective, I've been looking forward to playing trewqh since the Duel concept started. <- That's a compliment btw

I didn't really want to post more on your thread .... but : hey, can Duel ever be anything other than a full-on attack-minded game with no quarter given!? It's kinda built-in! But I like the attitude!

Well, sometimes cautiousness is necessary, and I guess Hryll meant that to the contrary in this one, due to the setup, we'll see a lot of recklessness. :)

For example, I did expect Hryll's Orange to move towards my Yellow on turn 1, but I'd consider attacking #20 too risky (that's why I didn't try to spy on it) since I might have decided to attack 16-15-20 on turn 1 ensuring that Hryll's armies would lose to my armies. Afterall, both mine and his armies would be after two attacks on neutrals, but I'd have the DEF bonus. So, I have to say, finding #20 is orange was quite a surprise to me.

A different surprise, a pleasant one this time, was the combination of #19 and #21 having no armies and Hryll's Orange being before my Yellow in OoP. Assuming his armies are in #20 (at first I thought they could as well be in his home province, but not anymore...) he can only go in one direction and cannot protect the two mentioned provinces, which gives me a limited feeling of security. :)

Yep, amazing how you managed to avoid each other EVERYWHERE on Turn 2. One or both of you are playing cautious ... which means you'll BOTH be built up for when you do clash. And that has to be on this next Turn 3, because you've run out of space to avoid each other in! Should be exciting.

Thanks for challenging me, Hryllantre!

That was a good game, I was eagerly waiting to see the outcome of each turn.

See you on the battlefield!
trewqh

PS. Who wants to challenge me now? 8)
