I guess I get to keep that pigeon now ;)
Poor Scholars

What? This... this cannot stand! I only joined the Scholars because they had a pigeon, and now you've gone and won it!?!

I challenge you, Sir, to a Duel! For the honour of the Scholars, and to redeem our pigeon from durance vile. (Unless you've eaten it already?)

:deal: Here's my form.

I'll gladly accept, when I get back from holidays(which is on September the 2nd.) Please remind me of your challenge once I am back ;)

I'm sorry, I missed that totally! :? Yep, I'm absolutely up for a duel. What's your pleasure, full duel or lite?

Great! The War of The Pigeon. I'll set it up. I'll wait to hear whether Full Duel or Duel-Lite, and any preferences as to what map, if any, even if it's just one you fancy trying. A whole pigeon rests on this. Nay, the Scholars' LAST pigeon PERCHES on this, carrying the honour of the Scholars (such as it is) with it ... Can Tinker wrest the Scholars' last pigeon back from Yondallus/Cicle Of Nine, for the honour of the Scholars?

How about a full duel?
You get to choose the map.

And I'm only putting the pigeon at stake if I can win something precious ;)

I'm up for a full duel, absolutely, but I'm going to let you choose the map seeing as I don't know many of them yet. I've played Water Crossing & Suburbia so far, so find me something fun and new!

As for something precious... let me think on it. I promise to come up with something at least as glamourous as your tent...

(Didn't I see an announcement about a store of shiny things being opened? I can't seem to find it now...)

What about Skandinavia? I have some good memories of that one :)

I have also purchased a gold bar from the store, if you would like to play for one of those ;)

Skandanavia is fine with me. Where did you find your shiny gold bar? I've been roaming the forums and menu links and I can't find the store to save my bleeping life!

There's no link in the Lobby yet, because it's not finished. Also note that I may reset everyone's items at some time (you'll get the spent points back if I do...)

Thanks korexus. :)

Okay, Yondallus, I'll see your gold bar and raise you a small diamond. Yep, that's right, a shiney gold bar AND a small diamond. Surely that's got to be enough to balance our... errr, I mean 'your' fine pigeon?

okay, that sounds about right. The battle is on!

Excellent! Now we just need to find a willing GM?

Done. The game-page is up. Lemme know if any problems, eg if either of you thinks you start out worse off than the other. Enjoy.

Chris.
Hi Kor and Yond! I'm trying to help your shop/items creation along in strange ways. If you look at the GM Han commentary on Turn 5 of Full Duel Skull Islands Duke vs Aussie Gaz, you'll see I'm taking bets on the outcome of the Duel - in terms of diamonds from your Trading Post. And will accept side bets on it between others. Adds to the fun? Now there will be 4 or 5 people with something riding on that Duel, not just 2 !?!

I agree with Kor that we shouldn't make these items helpful WITHIN games. But they're great for banter, for prizes, for trophies, for challenges .... and maybe for bets, too!?

Cheers,
Han

Sounds fun. I'll see if I can work in a way of automating bets.

Well, the game is over and I won 8)
So I get to keep the pigeon, AND I win a gold bar and a small diamond. YIPPEE!
So, Tinker, go to your profile and gimme the goodies ;) the game ID is 386. Also don't forget to vote to end the game.

Good game, I think the first turn proved to be decisive, cutting you off from the upper side of the map and letting the robo hurt you, then come in for the kill. Good game!
