New WOK 4 (beginner) game

Post by Saladin » Sun Feb 01, 2004 5:24 pm

Hi,

I am thinking of starting a new wok 4 beginner game.

If you're still listed as a beginner (no vps yet and haven't started 3 games yet) show your interest on this thread and i'll see if there are enough beginners to start this game with.

I guess there aren't that many REAL beginners out there at the moment.

So i'm opening up the game to everybody who hasn't won more than 1 vp. :)

Also the deadline for signing up will be Friday. I will make a selection if i have more than 10 sign-ups.

Well i finally got off my lazy @ss and did the page for this group. :D

I've got 6 players so far for the game, but i know there were others who applied by e-mail (can't access those mails here from work).

But there are some spots left...so APPLY! :P

Lazy is the word! I have to say that the page looks incredibly familiar. Xarfei's starting score of 1919 looks good for the scholars though!

korexus.

[edit]By the way, it's worth checking the neigbours on the ini file. We ran into a spot of bother earlier, I think it was provinces 6 and 36 were connected instead of 6 and 35. The America to UK crossing bit anyway. I don't know if Al's had a chance to update the file or not yet...[/edit]

Nothing beats good old copy/paste right korexus. :P

I remembered the US-UK bug from my first time using the map (had to do a bloody rerun as well). Though i'm glad the designer of the map finally took some time to correct the mistake in the ini file. :D

I agree, there is very little better for putting up a website quickly. (And I extend my warm appreciation to GM Taker for his house rules page, which I couldn't be bothered to design.)

I would offer one piece of advice though, check the window status. I use a lot of javascript in my webpages and currently yours seems to have inherrited the label "GM Chris's Group 1"

The group has filled. I've got the updated web page at home and will upload that tonight. I'll also send out all the turns tonight!

If you didn't get in to this game...join my X-game...at least if you think you'll survive long enough in that one. :D

PS: The players that will be added to this group are:

Meathead (VO)
Buffy (BoV)
Mullog (TKG)
Father of Blood (DoW)

Where is everybody?

Post by Saladin » Fri Mar 12, 2004 9:50 am

Ok, this is most peculiar.

My deadline is in 2 hours time. It's been a whole weeks since the turn reports were send out and i have received NO turn sheets at all.

I've checked the gm_wilfred email address and that's working fine, so i'm wondering if the online AOF sender is maybe down?

Anyway, if possible...get your turn sheets in guys and gals!

argh. :(

I thought Al had changed that e-mail address to my personal address. :(

I jsut checked the hotmail address and it has been idle for too long so it doesn't have any of the mails send via the aof sender in it. :(

Could you all please send it to my home address @ wilfred@berkhof.demon.nl ?

Thanks!

Well I had done that....

in fact I looked it up, you gave me the WRONG email address to change (gmwilfred@berkhof.demon.nl instead of wilfred@berkhof.demon.nl)....

Changed it again, and also directly in the AOF senders. (Talk about reaction time and customer service !) :P
