Vice Championship

Post by Funtastick » Wed Jan 14, 2004 5:46 pm

I was going to send out invitations today but when I looked at the Hi Score page it had only 2004 scores. So I clicked on the link for 2002 :?: and it had the combined scores for the full year. Is there anyway I can get just the scores for the last season so I can send out the invitations? I know there was a list on the champs thread, but there were only 9 members on it and one was the reigning Vice Champ, so I didn't know who the 10th player would be.

Since the link on the Kaomaris home page goes to 2003Hiscore, I had to temporarily save the 2004 Hiscore as 2003. I have asked Al to change the link to WOKHiscore, which should link to the 2004 Hi Score page.

Tonight I will edit the 2004 Hi Score page with a link to the 2003 HiScore and then restore the 2003 HiScore page.

The new link for Hi Score is www.angelfire.com/ny4/gmtom/WOKHiscore.htm

Sorry, but the 2003 HiScore won't be available until later tonight.

The players that need to get an invitation are:

Raven
Saladin (yay!) :D
Goat Herder
Trewqh
Massielita
Aussie Gaz
Count Henri
Calidus
Strider
Lord Fredo

Seeing that both Count Henri and Calidus might decline because of their absence from wok, that would make room for Dameon (who i think will decline as well) and Lardmaster. And if Nick declines as well Nestalawe gets a spot. :D

Didn't you get your invite yet, Sal?

Funty sent out those about 12 hours ago.

The people I sent invitations to are this:

Goat Herder
Trewqh
Massielita
Aussie Gaz
Count Henri
Calidus
Strider
Lord Fredo
Dameon
Saladin

I'm not quite sure why you put Raven on the list, am I missing missing something? Either way, Saladin, check this e-mail address which is where I sent your invitation to wberkhof@wanadoo.nl as that is what is listed on the TkG website for your e-mail address.

I already have one decline and am still waiting on 5 more responses. The deadline to respond is Saturday (tomorrow) so everybody better get moving or they'll lose their spot.

Raven is the returning Vice-Champ. I think he gets an invite back, doesn't he?

Funty,

My e-mailaddress is wilfred@berkhof.demon.nl. On the high score list it's correct. :D

I accept the invitation. :D

Was there something else important in the mail you send?

I'm not really sure what you mean by that...there are no e-mail addresses on the high score list, which is why I had to go and track down the player's emails through their clan affiliation. I will note the change but I need you to choose the following:

(1) Which map would you prefer to play on?

(a) Original WOK4
(b) Forest Lake
(c) Skandinavia
(d) Other: ____________

(2) Do you want headhunting to be allowed?

(a) Yes
(b) No

Round one of invites is done so I'm now heading on to the alternates.

Doh i meant the Kaohalla page. :D

Well i like all maps you named so i'll vote what Aussie voted. :)

Defintely no headhunting for me...that's not about skill...that's pure luck of the OoP.

Thanks Funty!

I will run the Vice Champs Game.

Can someone email me the name of the 10 players?

Also, is the Watercrossing map ok? I have it already set up, as I was going to open a new game, but will run VC instead.

Cheers,
Raw

Too be honest i would strongly prefer a different map...one with more of one big land mass, that will cut back on the luck factor of where you're positioned a bit.

I've always liked the original map. :D

So how come the Original got only my vote, huh?

Raw, Andy asked us to pick a map out of his selections and Scandinavia won.

I think you should use this one, if that's OK with you.

I would prefer to use watercrossing since I have it set up. But since Skandinavia won, I can update it. Someone needs to send me the official list of 10 players though so I can set up the game page to get this show on the road.

Cheers,
Raw
