I was dead from the beginning in Suburbia, I don't blame you for it.
I wouldn't normally expect anyone to carry grudges from one game to another but after the e-mail in which you quoted some film I thought you will look forward to a chance of beating me, while you could do nothing in Suburbia.

Oh I'll enjoy a chance to beat you any time, but a grudge, that's slightly different...

Hey Andy, if you don't get another beginner signup in the next [however long it takes you to give up] count me in.
Let's see if I can last longer than about five turns in this game... ;)

Alright, it's been 4 days without a responce, so I'm just gonna let Polymorphic in. As soon as I make my NFL picks and my orders for Piggys' game, I think I'll run turn 00.

Why does nobody spell it right?

Oh well. Turns are out, next turn due in a week. Best of luck all. I've put this link on the group page so it will be easier to get to.

I know and like Jim Hansen's shows and films but the thing is that Kermit the frog was Miss Piggy's lover, while trewqh isn't.

Turn reports for turn #01 are out. Please e-mail me if you do not have yours or if you have a problem with them. Next turn is due a week from today, Sunday, October 5th. Interesting begining, keep up the good work.

Turn 02 Reports are out. A note to all the players who were late and/or missed the turn. Please do not wait until so late to do orders. I gave you a full week to get them in. If you have confrontations with getting them in, I do accept delays but you need to e-mail me about it. Read my house rules and if you still have questions e-mail me about it. Remember, 3 missed turns in a game and you're considered as quit. All of you who got your orders in late that were counted, don't bet on it happening again. I was lenient because it's a beginners game, but, now that you've had a couple turns to get used to things, turns will speed up and there will be no delays on account of me missing a lot of reports from you players.

Newbie looking for clarrification

Post by Validon » Mon Oct 13, 2003 12:39 pm

OK, I'm new and this is my first game. But in the rules for WoK 4 it states that bombs can go for a long range attack of up to three provinces away. Did I misunderstand this? If I bomb from #27 and #55 is just a couple provinces away I can't hit it?
I reread the rule and it seems that from #27 I can hit provinces that are +/- 3 to this number and not to the province itself. Is this correct? I just don't want to make the same mistake twice.

That's correct, the province's number has to be within 1-3 of the province you are sending missiles from.

Dont worry recruit Validon

The +/- 3 long-range attacks is one of the pecularities WOK has. While sometimes criticised, this can put an interesting twist on games, largely depending on the map the GM uses.

I see that our DOW apprentice already gives hints on the boards, thats good I guess. :P

Get your turns in

Post by Validon » Sun Oct 19, 2003 10:34 pm

Come on guys. Let's get those turns in. It takes away from the game quite a bit if everyone doesn't get them in. Gm_andy is putting in his time and effort to give us this game. We should be able to give what little effort it takes to send in our AOF's on time. :x
