Like I allready said, I'm sorry about the misunderstanding. I don't keep records of all the emails I send. The one you quoted is mine.
How does your incompitence make it ok for you to break your NAP with someone? I surely hope that you find a much better way of keeping track of your NAPs in the future.
So it is my mistake to do the spying. But that was all I did. I did not attack you beforehand.

What's your point? Breaking our NAP is breaking our NAP. Specifically in our terms was "No Spying". You not attacking me means nothing after you broke the NAP. I fail to see why you don't think it's important that broke our NAP. This makes you untrustworthy, and saying that you didn't do the worst thing possible is just plain ridiculous. :x
As for compensation; the fact that you missed the turn sort of cancelled that out.
WHAT? Me missing the turn has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with you, and you breaking our NAP. If anything you are lucky I missed the turn. I made a mistake but it doesn't cancel anything about you breaking the NAP. :?
I also messed up my attack orders this turn, my armies would have been in nr 25 now.
What's your point?

Lastly, this is all a lot of noise about a small matter.
I guess that's the way you see it but don't even think about trying to form a NAP with me in any future games. It's obvious you don't hold them important and will not hesitate to break them.

Wow, I get the impression that a few members of DOW just don't care how they are viewed by the community. I'd have to agree with Donut, "this alot of noise about a small matter" seems like you take this acusation kinda lightly. NAP breaking is very serious no matter if its attacking or spying.

Your enemy is Player Griffon
You face 103 Armies with a Level of 1.768
You have 76 Armies in the Province with a Level of x.xxx
The Defenses of the Province are x.x Points

...YOU HAVE DEFENDED YOUR PROVINCE # 25 !
The level of your 32 Armies is raised by x.xxx to reach x.xxx

Ok, that shocked me enough. Then I see this
Your enemy is Player Moridin
You face 118 Armies with a Level of 1.530
You have 32 Armies in the Province with a Level of x.xxx
The Defenses of the Province are x.x Points

...YOU HAVE DEFENDED YOUR PROVINCE # 23 !
The level of your 12 Armies is raised by x.xxx to reach x.xxx

My first large scale clash, I would say not bad......

boy would I like to see the level of those 12 armies after those 2 battles.
I would think it would be bettert than if they had 125 workers on LEV for a turn.
221*.003=0.663
I guess those are some armies nobody wants to mess with in the near future.

Also I suspect Al and Massilita might want to discuss diplomacy with their newbies.
NAP breaking can lead to alot of problems in this game.
There's no need to fear...........

Well, the only other Disciple that is active on the boards is GMing the game. I think Al doesn't want to mess into this because of that.

Underdog, you didn't take Donut's losses and draws into account but, shhh, don't make it easier to our adversaries.

Just you wait till turn 12! This is when I go into action!

yes I realized that right after I posted it but decided to leave well enough alone. The point was made and I was waiting to see who would mention it first.

Somehow I think the "RL issues" have something to do with Queen Pea saying "Are you *still* in front of that computer!" in just the right tone ... ;) :D

Griffon has just confirmed that he is a lousy nap-breaker!

My nap with him and Moridin was to last until turn 12. That is why I wasn't able to help out Donut. But he, on the other hand, had nothing against bombing (and most likely spying on) me this turn (10). Here's a quote form my TR:

Code: Select all

YOUR PROVINCE # 10 IS BOMBED !! You have a chance of 6 % to detect the Source.
Your Spies couldnt locate the Source of the Bombing...
17 Missiles are used in the Attack !
MISSILE # 1 KILLS x ARMIES !
MISSILE # 2 KILLS x SPIES !
MISSILE # 4 KILLS x DEFENSES !
MISSILE # 5 KILLS x DEFENSES !
MISSILE # 6 KILLS x DEFENSES !
MISSILE # 7 KILLS x DEFENSES !
MISSILE # 8 KILLS x ARMIES !
MISSILE # 9 KILLS x TECH POINTS !
MISSILE # 10 KILLS x TECH POINTS !
MISSILE # 11 KILLS x DEFENSES !
MISSILE # 12 KILLS x DEFENSES !
MISSILE # 13 KILLS x ARMIES !
MISSILE # 15 KILLS x ARMIES !
MISSILE # 16 KILLS x TECH POINTS !
MISSILE # 17 KILLS x DEFENSES !
The provinces that the attack could have come from belonged to Griffon and Donut. I am sure it wasn't Donut's mistake because he had no missiles in 7 and 8.

I wonder what Moridin thinks about all this.

Whoa... I don't believe it  I think Griffon deputized someone else from DoW to play this turn, but I have no idea what the heck happened. I'm really speechless.

Regardless of what happened, it happened. A misunderstanding once with the terms of your NAP with me was, while unexceptable, a misunderstanding. But now that you have done it twice... It's completely out of the question that either of you will probably ever get a NAP with our clan again. I know I'm steppin out on a limb to speak for our whole clan like this but I will be making my case soon to come to a vote to have you declared a mortal enemy.

I wish that there was a decent enough Emoticon to display my dissappointment in both of you.

I certainly understand, and I don't mean to make any excuses for that bombing as I don't understand it myself. As you said, what's done is done.

Even as GM of that game, I need to speak up here.

BUTCHER replaced GRIFFON for this Turn. I thought you all knew about this one.... at least I got a mail that explained he was looking for a deputy, and I was expecting he would inform anyone else really.

BUTCHER jumped in and immediately sent in orders. I think he didnt know anything about any NAPs, or maybe he misread it.

I cant really say who is to blame for this, but Im sure GRIFFON will explain the situation once he returns.

Now we dont want to have DoW be seen as the 'NAP-breakers', certainly not. Even with being the bad guys in WOK. :?

To take this discussion down a different path for a sec ... if a player uses a sub for a game they're in, I'd expect them to inform the GM (which appears to have been done in this particular game) ... and then I'd expect that the GM would inform everyone else in the game.

As a GM, I do that ... I wonder if other GMs and players feel the same way.

Well it seemed quite clear that he other Players were informed (at least from my point of view).

* The mail sent by GRIFFON was, if I remember right, addressed to a lot of Players.
* he wasnt sure if he was going to have time to do orders or would need some replacement for a turn or two
* Orders came in right after he told me he would be leaving soon (so I thought 'ahh he made orders before he leaves')

Only when I saw here what happened I realised that something did go wrong.

I apologize to the Players if I was the source of some missing informations.
