Probably a question for the programming department, but I thought the game start engine was supposed to guarantee that no two players started adjacent. I guess that is no longer true? Either that or provinces 1 and 60 are not adjacent...

Inquiring minds want to know!

Yes Tinker and Lardmaster are linked by land and I'm linked to Tinker by sea...

Another re-run please it'll be good practise for you Dragonette :P

Dragonette: STOP.

Do not enter the player homes, it is an advanced option and you don't know what you're doing. Instead, go back, read my previous post and procede appropriately.

Dragonette, speaking as a guy with two other players starting right next door to me, I've got to say that there's a problem. That said, I'm sure it can be fixed.

I know how much you're looking forward to GM'ing; don't let a bit of a rough start get you down. I'm sure we can restart again. Check our korexus' earlier post and see if it makes sense to you.

Yeah, I hate days like that too. It's fixable, though, and we're willing to wait, so no worries.

but are people willing to wait, or will they just qive up and quit.

The game is fixed and visible here:
http://www.kaomaris.com/phpNuke/modules ... 4&TurnNR=1

If GM Dragonette wants it back, she can have it. On the condition that next time something goes wrong, she waits. Fixing bits in the Lobby does not take long, but it requires me to have the information I ask for. - And no one else fiddling.

Players, you can enter orders now. You do have valid and legal starting positions. Your stats should also be right. Let me know if anything is still wrong.

We want Dragonette! We want Dragonette!

New GMs are SOOO much fun. I'm a patient guy when it comes to that. Just trying to be helpful, but I end up doing it in an annoying sort of way.

I'm a patient man

Dragonette, many previous games have taken (literally) weeks nay months to fill, so we're all (I'm quite sure) very happy to be playing within just 1 week...

Pick yourself up, dust yourself down and :)

so as i sit in my hut i look around and it turns out that hryllante and lardmaster got the wrong battlefield. I don't understand i posted the co - ordinates to them ages ago. I mean at least some people had a go even if they didnt suceed in attacking and keeping certain provences.

GM Dragonette, I'm not thrilled by the new turn; I went from winning 2 battles to none. Can I ask why we had to do a rerun?

the ini files were a mess for a persons orders and its my first game and korexus fixed it and recommended that i just re run it instead of mucking everything up by manually submiting them.
Sorry people

Something very odd is going on with this game.

Can I ask all players to scan down the page after entering orders. There is a handy little function I wrote which gives you a message when you try to move or attack between non-neighbouring provinces. If you see such a message, we can catch problems before the turn runs. At least that way we shouldn't need any more re-runs...

That's a clever, really good little function. Can you tweak it so it tells me if I've done stupid orders? Preferably just for me.

I can tweak it to tell you that you've done stupid orders, would that make you happy? - It wouldn't check what the orders were, I would just change the order submitted message when you were looking at it...
