Heya
good to be back. Good to see some old faces too. I remember the good times. We actually had beginner games back then. And a lot of games running. Looking forward to see what I remember.
Hryllantre: I was Schrale in Lastknights. And I did drag you here
now:
Where is GM Al?
Where is Wok 5?
Duel games? Sign me up!

Like a broken record ..... With so many new players trying WOK for the first time, I humbly suggest that the GM set the No Headhunting to TWO turns, (new guys: this would mean your start-prov could not be attacked or spied on for the first Two turns, not just the fist One turn).
This avoids the risk of a new player being overrun and out early on Turn 2, even before any of his Turn 2 orders apply. Which might put him off WOK a bit?
It MIGHT not happen .... but why take the risk?? What's the upside of keeping it to One turn of no headhunting?

Because a player with just 12 armies (one transform worth) in the home province will cripple anbody trying to take the home on turn 2. So this would only actually protect against players who are willing to sacrifice themselves to take out a newbie. If that is happening the our problem is not the rules, but the players.Hannibal wrote: It MIGHT not happen .... but why take the risk?? What's the upside of keeping it to One turn of no headhunting?

I give up trying to communicate with the GM of this group so I am announcing it on the board instead.
Egbert has some private issues and is giving up in this group hence I get the VP or the win.
Not that I care but I do care about trying to contact the GM at one point in mid-game and ask for an extension plus posting my request on the gamepage but with no reply and me going M-1 anyway. I wouldnt have cared if it wasnt for the fact that the turn after that got extended for like 5-6 days and all I asked for was 1 or 2.
Well well. Water under the bridge.
