I had to re-run turn 1 as there was a bug in the ini, but it's out now and everything seems to be correct. Please let me know if you spot any further mistakes...

I'm interested to know what Tbert has to explain as he "did nothing visible". Some spy op I guess which means you guys are napped which is handy to know

Maybe he forgot Cal's birthday :?:

Hmmmmm.... Me thinks I shall sit quietly and say nothing her except that I still have ALL my spies cos I am still trying to work out what benefit I would get from using them.

Asia has always been a world flashpoint same as the middle east.

Vortan, the main benefit of using spies in the early game is keeping your eff % up. That in turn has a huge affect on your PATT and PDEF ratings.

Popstealing is also a great option!

Relax everyone,

The misunderstanding has been resolved.

Vortan,

Like one of the others said, you spy to help keep your EFF up, especially early in the game. (two successful spy attempts will give you a +6 EFF) This will easily keep your EFF up near high 90s. (Just make sure you do not spy on a player that you have a nap with. They tend to get bent out of shape over little things like that!

Can this game be put on a short temporary hold please while AG, Tbert and I sort out a disagreement?

I'm assuming that Yaro won't mind, judging by his position he won't be winning this game.

I'm setting the deadline for 1 year's time. That way, if you want to restart, you don't need me. Just use the early turn buttons. (Also the game can end from a vote and will show up in the game list as it's still "running")

Is there some juicy behind the scenes gossip.

Yes Korexus (with a capital K).

There is some juicy behind the scenes gossip and guess what?

That's where it will stay hopefully.

For interest - I have voted yes to the proposed victory for AG & Tbert.

So, it is down to LM whether he wants to accept this or fight on.

I'd fight on if I was LM :-)

Of that you do not need to worry Yaro :D

Yay! Go LM go. Leave lovely grey boot tracks all over Asia for me!

I believe this game should be finished, I know AG and I voted for a shared victory last turn, and LM made a comment just before the last turn ran that sounded like he was conceding (and he missed this last turn, even though he's been active on the boards and such). I'd also like to publish this game, I think it'd be good for discussion.

Is that discussion or gloating you smug VO you :P

We could always have a what Vortan did wrong in his first game thread. That would probably be good for a laugh.

I can set it to finished manually, otherwise you all need to vote on the same turn.

Hmm, I really should do something about that. Yet another thing to add to my list.

Mybe I should set up a thread for my list and you guys can all just post there. Then I can delete stuff once it's done.

Chris.

PS. We don't have a ruling on this, but I think that if any player in the game objects to it being published, it shouldn't be. Players of this game let me know if you don't want it made public. Also we should work out a policy on this. Long term at least, we want the published games to be showcases for new players, not just every game which has been played...

Dragonette, can I suggest you start from the games which began after the new scoring method was decided? - It will make your life easier as the RIP turns will all be recorded for you.

Also, we have an official title for the post you are offering to fill. "Gatekeeper". If you want to wear the uniform, you'll have to ask Duke. We haven't seen it since last time he went off to his cabin in the woods...
