I don't think I kept the older maps back then.
Hmm, I must have played so poorly that I really don't remember not even the slightest thing that happened in that game! Oh well, when you have played as many games as I have over the years, it's not entirely surprising that I don't remember......

Players should note that, unless everyone agrees to the vote, the turn will still run on time. As Vortan has indicated that he's ready for the next turn, I'm assuming he hasn't agreed to the vote. (I know someone hasn't, or the game would have finished...)

You might want to send in orders, this may not be over yet...

Does everyone know how to vote?

I think I've voted, but I wouldn't mind seeing how my armies will get beaten to a bloody pulp...

Hello ... Me here ... No one has asked me to vote - perhaps because I am resourceless - again. I pressed the button for ready because I beleive a player should submit 00 orders even if out rather than just abandon a game. If I am supposed to vote someone tell me how!

Yes, everyone has to vote. Majority vote was deemed unfair as it meant an alliance would a#win a final 2-1 by default.

At the bottom of every player's turn report is a form, either allowing you to vote or, when a vote has been called asking youto vote. It's done there...

Vote done. Sorry for delay. It won't happen again - now I know that is.

What what is a email in my emaiol inbox telling me to vote?

No e-mail.

The information that a vote has been called can be found under the commentary. And to vote you have to view you turn report and look at the very bottom, as korexus mentioned.

Well, someone must have voted against the split, because the game hasn't finished. I'm pretty sure that script works, right?

I wonder who it could be :?:

Never mind that now. I'd like to propose a vote for Forest Lake before it actually starts. The vote is:

a. Everyone surrender and award me the VP's.
b. Everyone surrender and award me the VP's.

I mean, look, it's not a big ask really ...

Vortan, you can call a vote for you to win as a solo victory if you want. The option is at the bottom of your turn report.

Don't expect anyone else to agree though :P

Hmm, maybe we could introduce some sort of "ratings system"...

*ducks for cover.*

:biglaugh:

Are the VPs automaticized already? I'd start with that.

I suppose an interesting notion would be to rank VP's in a similar way to Formula 1 but say, purely as example.

Nothing for 6th - 10th
0.25 VP for 5th
0.50 VP for 4th
0.75 VP for 3rd
1.00 VP for 2nd
2.50 VP for 1st

Not only would this encourage the point mad to not quit early it would also encourage players to fight on to the end rather than voting to split the win. This way - with Fun in the Sun as example I would have 5th, Dragonette 4th, Jen 3rd, and Kor and TB would be fighting to the death much to all of our pleasures.

Dont dismiss out of hand - think about it. It may be a way to encourage the less addicted to stick around if they believed they stood a half chance of actually getting some VP's.

Vortan, I'm not dismissing this out of hand, but you may want to do a search for the word 'rating' on these forums...

poor Vortan. He's already trying to change the system so he actually has a chance for 0.25 VP  just kidding mate ;)

Well the difference with the whole rating system was simply that:

1. The rating system was pretty complicated to calculate.
2. And most importantly had no official meaning as we still kept the vps.

If we ever are going to have a better ranking system we need to say goodbye to the outdated vps system we have now.
