Okay people we have a new waitlist up. I've chosen the Caribbean map which isn't everyones cup of tea but I have fond memories of.

Back in the day we had a wok 4 championship where Tristao and I decided to trial a new tactic (that Tristao liked to call T-levelling). Unfortunately it didn't actually work all that well and Tristao left never to be seen again. Which is a shame because I liked him.

Anyway I digress, this is my first go GMing a game and I will try to keep the commentary interesting and amusing. Well it will be to me anyway 8)

Half way there and its a distinctly European flavour, with four Brits and a whatever Trewqh is. Polish or Transylvanian or whatever.

Where are all you septics?

A bug in the code made at least two players' spy orders go wrong. I've informed GM Lardy and fixed the bug. No one else needs to tell me about it.

Now the GM has the unenviable position of deciding if there should be a rerun or not...

Sorry.

Hi Guys, I am going to re-run the trun shortly. Sorry if this buggers up anyones results but its not fair on those players who put in correct orders that didn't work properly.

Fixed. And hopefully it shouldn't happen again.

For anyone suspecting that I was just using the re-runs to improve my own turn, GM Lardy can testify that that didn't happen.

I've come up with a question which I hope will be easy to answer.
In this game, at the start, TBert and I set up a Nap where we agreed to let province 20 be a 'neutral' buffer zone. However, it has now come to this: TBert has notified me to end the NAP we have. So he can now attack me on turn 14. But the only way I can see him attack me is through province 20, which we agreed to leave as a neutral. So, by ending the NAP, does he still have to wait until turn 14 until he can take province 20? or do all agreements regarding neutrals vanish?
I'm asking because I want to make sure I don't position my armies next to province 20 after turn 13, only to get them all bombed to bits by TBerts missiles in 20.

For as long as the NAP is in place, you must both follow all terms of it. This means that neither of you can attack, missile or spy each other during the notification period and that any other agreements, such as leaving a province neutral, still hold.

thanks for clearing that up

I'd also say that unless there was a clause that said otherwise, then this point of your agreement is in effect for as long as the NAP is in effect.

Such is the way of WOK. Some days you win... some days you lose 13 provinces in one turn. The key is to learn from it.

Not the record though. Mike, do you still have the maps where TK and I took about a third of a WoK V map in one turn? - Your website doesn't seem to be around any more.

You mean this group?

I don't think I kept the older maps back then.

[ramble like an old man]

That's the one. I remember that we severely annoyed Calidus with TK's (slightly dubious) interpretation of our dealings. - Whoops shouldn't have said that. It gives Vortan more ammo in his CoN-Scholar war...

As a side note, I was more than a little bit drunk. I could barely see. I'd also got in late and only just realised the turn was due. So I was sat in the dark, trying to enter orders without waking up my girlfriend. (You know how quiet drunks are when they're trying to be quiet?) I was in sooo much trouble the next day... :(

I remember I entered the SPP number, not the spell ID on that turn. Otherwise we'd have taken even more, but I can't remember what I meant to cast. (Probably pusher or 20 Fingers, I guess...)

I think I still owe you a drink for losing the files too. Calidus was going to fight on which would have been long and drawn out. But he quit when getting the next turn became complicated...

Happy days

To get back on topic.

Players should note that, unless everyone agrees to the vote, the turn will still run on time. As Vortan has indicated that he's ready for the next turn, I'm assuming he hasn't agreed to the vote. (I know someone hasn't, or the game would have finished...)

You might want to send in orders, this may not be over yet...
