As a default it takes 8 workers to produce one EFF and that is the case in this group. The reason why you're confused is that in Eg's Battleground game it was changed to 6:1. Game Masters can do that to intorduce some changes to the game play, but they always state that in the houserules. In this group all ratios are at the default levels and these can be found in the manual.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Ummm I'm having a continual problem accessing WoK and even when I manage to log in here every single sub-page I access is incredibly slow.

Where-ever possible I leave inputting my orders until the last hour to check my messages for any new NAP offers, with this in mind I am having major problems getting my orders in on time as it takes forever to input all required data...

Is there anyway I can avoid this hold up as it's hugely frustrating and very time consuming...

I am having the same problem. Chris/Korexus thinks it has to do with the latest Microsoft update.

Sorry, about missing the turn guys. I completely forgot about the turn as I just came back to Poland from London. I'm letting you know so that none of you think I quit and my territory is up for grabs. :)

I think you can submit your orders more than once.

i.e. send in a set of orders early. Then send a fresh set closer to the deadline.

This way even if you fail to send an updated set you do not go M-1

You're right. Even when one is waiting for e-mails from other players to determine what to do with one's armies one could already submit spying orders.

Never thought of that.

:x

First I miss a turn and then one tiny mistake in my orders makes most of my orders useless.

It's just as well, though. Your armies would have met with some very unnecessary bloodshed and other unpleasantries.

Actually, thanks to the full spy info I have on you, I know the plan I had would be tragic in consequences for you :(

Egbert, I thought you said you'd traced the problem, maybe I dreamed it...

Sorry to sound like a technogeek, but firefox works fine on the site (I always hated it when Al and Rune pushed firefox, but the harsh truth is that it does work very well, once you get used to the differences...)

trewqh: you can even send in blank orders at first, just to avoid going M-1. - No one will know that they're blank of course!

Wow! Anticipating not sending in my orders is so cunning that it never came to my mind! Thanks! :P

why would anyone still use IE? Firefox is so superior its not even funny. There are some (very few, 1 for me) that dont render well with Firefox so I installed the IE Tab extension to firefox and ensured everytime I visit that site it opens as a IE tab (in firefox)
