Come on! You have a chance of being in the game at least a little bit longer before I take both of you out! 8)

I would like to compliment all of the players --- 2 entire turns have run, and no one has gone M-1 yet. Woohoo! :2thumbs:

As for me,

I would like to thank Egbert for running the game.

And I would like to thank Duke for cornering himself in #55  (which gives me an 80% chance of eliminating him from the game next turn  )

Chris,

We lost the OoP for next turn in this group.

Please fix. (Or tell me how to?)

Thanks.

This is happening more and more often. It's getting quite irritating...

trewqh, I've PMed you the method for correcting OOP problems.

Yes, we have the OoP in the TRs and that's good because we can use our time between turns to plan.

But the OoP is missing from the group's page which indicates that the game engine will not see it once the deadline is reached.

And I now know how to fix that and will get round to it soon. (Before the deadline surely)

Something occasionally goes wrong right at the end of a turn running. This means that the entry in the database which stores the upcoming OOP and commentary never gets written. The OOP is generated however, and mentioned in the turn reports. So, as trewqh says, we can manually enter it into the database and, when it is time for the next turn to run, the game engine won't fall over. :)

The problem I'm having fixing this is that the bug doesn't always happen. Even re-running a turn in which the bug occurred doesn't seem to guarantee getting the same result, so it's very hard to track down the cause of the problem... :(

We'll get there though. - Easter holidays are coming up, I'm about to have a bit more time for WoK! :D

Due to a player's request, I have extended the deadline by 3 hours. Or rather, I hope I have extended the deadline by 3 hours. The last time I put in a deadline extension, the program ignored it and it through off the whole game.

Also, I notice that no OoP is listed on the game page, and no commentary again. I hope nothing else goes wrong. :(

I'll fix the OoP in time.

What do you mean by 'through off' ('threw off' maybe, still I'm not sure what it means in this context)?

I don't think you mean this game, do you?

Last time Egbert tried extending the turn deadline, something went wrong and the turn ran early. Then we had to have a re-run and the game got confusing... Can't remember what happened now, but I do remember fixing it, so everything should be ok. (Egbert, you can check the timer in thegame search to see if the deadline did extend.)

OOP does seem to be listed, so the turn will run but yes, the commentary got lost at the same time. (trewqh, when updating the OOP field, I tend to put a little note in the Commentary field so people know what I've done.)

Should get a chance to go bug hunting tonight! :D

Shortly after I updated the OoP I saw that the search game timer was set according to Eg's extension (about 12.00 am GMT? original deadline 9.00 pm), but now it says the turn is overdue... :?

It says 8 hours 11 minutes on my browser which is Midnight here in Britain.

It is now time, once again, to point out that we are on BST, not GMT.
BST = GMT + 1 which is why Egbert's page says "15:55 PDT(GMT -0700)" not "- 0600".

It's not confusing really... :P
