Game Maps and Pop Files.

Post by korexus » Tue Nov 22, 2005 2:50 pm

I've added a page to the site which allows players and GMs to view blank maps more easily. GMs have a link to the page when setting up a game but it is also available through Standard and Advanced WoK->Maps->Standard WoK Maps if anyone wants to check it out.

In response to an old request from AF I've also made a page which will display the pop info on any automated WoK map, these tables are linked from the maps page.

I now have a question: Is it worth linking to the pop file direct from game pages? I know that some GMs do this and some don't. Do players find it useful? Is there a reason why GMs would not want the pop file linked? (The initial pop values can be changed without telling the players, so keeping them as a surprise wouldn't be an issue, but maybe the link would be a bit pointless then...)

Any thoughts?

One of the reasons the Scholars tend to win more games than VO players i guess. :P

I'll second that.
